Instructions NOT in English
This review is for the EARTH BRACELETS kit. I was initially impressed with the quality of the tin. However it does not make up for the issues with this. I find it odd that the outer cardboard label is written in English both on the front and the back, however the instructions book is NOT in English. Don’t know how that is going to help an 8 year-old child when the adult can’t even read the directions! Additionally the cords came all tangled together. The smaller beads will not fit on the black or brown cords. And nor will the small beads fit over the needle. Guess we’ll have to use the smaller beads for another project. Some of the beads are also not punched all the way through, meaning you can put the cord through one side of the bed but unable to pull it all the way through. It’s a cute kit but too many issues to recommend this particular one to anyone.

Buy it for the beads . . .
When I saw the French (only) instructions in this kit, I was ready to return it. Then I examined its variety of pretty, unique beads - and kind of fell in love. I figured, how hard can it be to string beads on elastic or hemp? If you can get this kit for a good price, enjoy it for the beads alone.

Buyer Beware!
There must be quality control issues! First, the directions are in French. On our first bracelet, we couldn’t use two of the beads because they didn’t have holes. Our third bracelet, the small beads wouldn’t even fit on the elastic string. Overall, this kit is super frustration and it’s disappointing that my daughter can’t make many of the bracelets shown due to the quality issues with the beads.

Perfect for 7 and 8 Year Old
My 7 and 8-year-old daughters absolutely loved this kit. They sat down with their older sister (she's 19 now) and she helped them. It was a very fun family craft. Plenty for more than one child to do. Would make a good sleepover set as well. Of course they aren't making high end stuff but it is great "rainy day" surprise to have on hand.

French directions only
My daughter was really excited about this kit! Unfortunately the directions were in french only. This made it impossible for her to do it alone. We used Google translate, but if you can buy a different product I would.
