Great starting book
Clear well written and easy to follow instructional plans. Mostly DC track plans originally published 1960/1970 with DCC briefly discussed. Overall great starting book

It is a book with model railroad layouts that you can build. The step by step instruction, especially for the bench work are top notch. If you are a person wanting to build a model railroad, then any of atlas book will be a must have to get you started.

It would be nice if there was a product description or the "Look ...
This is a revision of a book Atlas published in 1958 and 1971. The 1971 edition has the 6 of the 7 plans in the 2011 edition. The 2011 edition does have some updates from their previous version and does go into more detail of how to build each layout. All of Atlas books are published with this in mind. It would be nice if there was a product description or the "Look Inside" feature that at least contained the Table of Contents. I would not have purchased this knowing this.
