This review is for the "UniqKaliber" Bishop Hat Papal Mitre Clergy Costume Prop Headgear for Hallween, Cosplay, Party. At the time of writing this review, select sizes and colors are discounted as much as 50% but at the time I ordered it, the price was $67.15. For that price, I expected very high quality for a costume hat. Therefore, my expectations definitely impact my review. This is very nice for a bishop's hat, but I expected it to be just about perfect for $70. There are a few very minor imperfections, but the only one that bothers me is the seams on the sides of the hat. The main exterior of the hat consists of two parts; the part that goes around your head and the part that goes up into the point. The seams don't line up and they are not centered to the side. This causes the hat to fold off center, and therefore it's off centered while wearing it. Basically, the points on the hat don't line up in the front and back. This isn't a horrible, but it's annoying. At 50% off, that's a fair imperfection, but at full price, I feel it's unacceptable. As a result, if the color and size you want is deeply discounted, I would definitely recommend this hat. If you'd be paying full price, I'm fairly neutral. I won't advise against purchasing the hat because it really is made with quality materials, it seems very sturdy, and without inspecting it, you might think it's a real bishop hat. Not sure it would be easy to find another nice bishop hat. Most costume accessories are very low quality. This is good quality, it was just assembled a bit sloppily. In fairness, I'm not sure anyone would notice that it's off-center except the person wearing it, so this hat will still tie together a complete costume and look good. This seller (and at least one other) has the matching vestments robe, so you can go lol the way. The sizes are exactly what is listed in the sizing guide. If you measure the head of the person the hat is for, and order the hat size that fits the person's head size, the hat will fit properly. They don't run big or small, they are exactly accurate. Just be sure to measure the head. The gold designs around the hat and on the tails is very nice. They are actually made with a gold thread weaved into the green threads, so it's not something that can wear off, and thankfully, it's not glitter lol. The green material is polyester but feels like silk. The raised part of the hat is thick and lined, so it maintains its shape. I imagine if you don't fold it down or soak the material (it's dry clean only), it will keep its shape. Lastly, the interior has a full lining, so even if the hat were too big, it can't slide down around your face. The lining inside is a bit like its own hat. You can see it in the listing photo and I attached a photo showing the lining as well. As you can see, I am happy with the quality, it's just sad that they didn't put the care into the assembly. I'd say that if you can get this hat for less than $50, it's worth it.
