Full disclosure here; I got this outfit to do some comedy dog christmas cards with, but on the plus side, they came out great, twinkly caribou halo and all! They do seem to have gotten a little confused as to what exactly they're selling here, as you have a bit of a mix of an angel and a fairy going on. So I guess you could call it dual-purpose! Certainly angels don't have wands or wear tutus, and fairies don't have halos, so it's really an 'all about the wings' costume, in the end. Fortunately the wings are really nice. They're maybe a little more sparsely feathered than the photos in the advert, and mine didn't have the fluffy line of caribou over the top of the wingline, but there is enough there to cover them (just, with no overlaps). The underlying card is rather visible, but what's good is that they've wired the card, so the wings can be shaped a little and will hold the shape, so you can get some quite nice looks from them. They come with two simple elastic loops that you fit over your (or your dog's) shoulders, and because you can shape them a little, they then sit very snuggly to the back, and hold to you (or your dog!) no matter what. I confess, it took me about ten minutes to realize that the halo is on two wires and can be set at a right-angle above the hairband so that it seems to hovver over the top of the head a bit more, but once you set that, it looks good. The wand is really more of a fairy wand, but if you've got this set for a kid it's very sweet and delicate with translucent ribbon and little ribbon flowers...my dog made quick work of it unfortunately, but at least we got the photos first. The tutu is reasonable, though it doesn't have acres of fabric in it. There's enough to give a general effect of gathers, and a kid would love it, I'm sure. My dog was surprisingly tolerant, in a long-suffering kind of way...maybe he secretly liked it? In all, I'd say for the money it's a really nice set, with the wings being the standout feature here. Under the right light (frontlight; you can see through them to the *very* basically cut-out card inner if they're lit from the back) they look pretty good, and as a set, for the money, I'd say it's good value.
