Excellent clay... good for aquarium substrate
While the intended purpose is modeling/sculpting clay, this product also comes highly recommended for plant substrate in aquariums. (Helps keep live plants anchored/weighed down without killing them AND provides nutrients.) Went into my tank with zero problems for the fish. Dissolves and slightly discolors water if not submerged in sand or other substrate. My plants are doing very well now one month after using this product.

Easy to work with
Love this clay! As a beginner I found it very easy to work with. Perfect for making plant holders. I used Mod Podge on the inside to keep water out. Will buy this product again.

Quick shipping and good product
First time using this air dry clay and it was a great product.. just make sure to use lots of varnish after it dries so that it dosent get wet and soften up again...

I used it as a source of Iron for my Aquatic Plants.
My secret will be out with this review of my success in growing aquatic plants. I made about five times of my purchase price of this Red Mexican Clay. Together with crushed egg shells I made Root Tabs for my aquarium plants. To succeed in maintaining Aquarium plants, you need to add nutrients to your aquarium substrates. I would crush my egg shells into powder, the mixed it into portions of the Red Mexican Clay. I would use about thin Nickel to Quarter sized rolls to use at time time. I would mix into the Red Mexican Clay the crushed egg shells.. I would then cut the rolled clay mixture into small

For my needs it was amazing
I used it in my aquarium for my plants and it has really helped them grow and it only takes a little bit to go a long way so with the amount you get it should last a life time

Very nice
I can't say it is easy to clean,because it is clay after all, but it is easy to clean up after. It is smooth and consistent in texture . I was so pleased with it.

Keep out of Rain After Hardened and Sealed
This stuff works great, dries in a day or two and looks just like terracotta pottery. Even with copious amount of sealant, my pots all melted in the first rainstorm. Not for outdoor pottery/sculpture.

Just the job!
If you want safe aquarium clay for a soil substrate planted tank, this is it. You can roll it into balls or spikes to insert into your substrate. Some recommend freezing it. You can also smash the dried clay to dust and mix it with your substrate if youre starting up. You can also make the clay into all manner of fun shapes and then smash it up which is kinda double the fun.

Muy buen producto para realizar objetos que no requieren cocción
Es casi como si estuviera modelando barro, misma textura. El color al secar no es como el barro mexicano, es como rosa. Se supone que se seca y se pone duro, pero si lo humedece cuando ya se supone que secó, se deshace, eso no me gustó.
