Exceptional details and well made large doll.
Our granddaughter was excited to actually hold the beautiful doll and stand it up. There are So many clothing accessories available for the American girl dolls. So now on her birthday I can buy outfits for the doll.

She is exquisite. So lovely. I haven't unboxed her yet but just looking at her I'm very pleased. Her hair looks thick and rich. Her dress is so subtle and elegant. Someone else mentioned that the dolls could be cheaper if the dolls weren't made with swarzki crystals. I can't think of anything less . She's beautiful and if you're looking for a collector's doll she would be a great choice. She would also make a wonderful choice for a special child

Stunning Holiday Doll… Do I Keep It?
I received the American Girl 2025 Glimmering Gold Holiday Collector Doll and my first reaction when I opened the box was wow. The light-blue eyes actually catch the room… they sparkle in a way that makes you stop and stare. The long wavy blonde hair is soft and silky to the touch, and the gold trimmings on the dress glitter without being over the top… everything about the outfit reads like a tiny evening gown. I typically prefer to get dolls that match my daughter’s complexion… she’s a Black girl and that’s important to me. With that said, this doll is truly stunning and I had planned to give it to her. Buuuuut… now I’m standing in the living room holding it, picturing selling it in 17 years and it helping to pay her college tuition (yes, it's THAT pretty!). Sooo... hmm... I'm wondering if Daddy should keep it as a collectible.... Yeah, that is my real internal debate and it is ridiculous and I love it. Presentation is part of the charm too… the unboxing felt special, like an event. The stitching, the finish, the little accessories all look like they belong in a collector’s case. No gripes here… just a delightful problem of wanting to gift it and also secretly wanting to keep it. Five stars. ──────── RATING LEGEND──────── ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 Stars = Nailed it… exactly as advertised or even better ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4 Stars = Solid… but something’s off, mis-represented, or overpriced ⭐⭐⭐ 3 Stars = Meh… not terrible, but not worth the money or time ⭐⭐ 2 Stars = Yikes… functional but major issues, buyer beware ⭐ 1 Star = Absolute trash… should not exist

Beautiful display piece but.....
We ordered the American Girl 2025 Glimmering Gold Holiday Collector Doll for our granddaughter. I have seen how little girls love theirs and dress like them get their hairs cut, etc. It's a beautiful doll but I don't think that this one is something to be played with but is more of a collectors piece. The doll comes well packaged and protected from having the box dented or damaged in transit. The box is well done and is beautiful. There is some detail on the back of the box giving specifics about this particular doll. The doll, however, is the star of the show and she is exquisite! The flowing blond hair, the dress with the real Swarovski crystals and the accessories are all beautifully made and detailed. That's where my dilemma comes in....it's TOO beautiful and, at least in my opinion, it might be better as a collector's piece versus a play thing, especially at almost $300! I am very happy with the doll and do think that the price is well justified. The only reason for the 4 star review is that we bought it for her to play with and I don't think that is what it's really designed for, at least in my opinion.
