Not very big but it is the perfect size for American girl dolls. Daughter loved it and that is all that matters.

My niece loved this accessory for her doll. Soft and cuddly and it looks just like her dog at home!

My daughter loves it!
It’s hard bodied but has soft fur. Daughter loves that it can pick up the toy it has and that it’s legs move. I would not recommend the included toy with kids under 4, but the dog itself would be fine for younger kids.

Adorable
I like the pets from American Girl and more importantly so do my grandchildren . They go crazy for them. The problem is that Amazon shipped it in an envelope instead of a box, so the box is damaged. The dog, however is fine.
