Great building bad directions
Set is worthy of 5 stars but directions are not. Parts listed in directions that do not exist but can figure it out by looking at diagram. Would definitely recommend but take time to study written directions and diagram for each building.

The product is very nice but I thought the assembly instructions were incomplete. I think when those are written, they should be written by an end user. They were difficult to follow by novices like myself. Also, Shouldn't there be some sort of pipe or hose going from the truck loader to the mill for transporting the sawdust? I thought that should have been included. It looks incomplete as it stands right now. This is a critique, not a criticism. I will continue to purchase product from you.

This is junk
This building is absolute junk!!!!! I spent 2 days trying to make it look like something i WOULD LIKE ON MY TRAIN LAYOUT. Most of the pieces dont fit properly and I was short about 6 pieces to build the roof brackets. I wont be buying another cornerstore again... thats for sure. I also had a Dimond coal mine that I really wanted on my layout but it was the same way. Im guessing I will start buying pre-assembled for my layout even thouh the prices are much higher. This review is also going to be written for the diamon coal mine kit from cornerstone

Outbuilding pipes are not included - But the buildings are decent enough
My husband spent quite a bit of time trying to find the piping for these outbuildings and couldn't find it. We looked here in the reviews just now (after delivery) and found that others also did not receive piping. The front of the box states: Kit shown assembled and painted. Figures, vehicles, scenery items and railroad equipment not included So, if that photo is the fully assembled kit, what are those pipes? Are they figures, vehicles or scenery? We are confused. He worked for the railroad for 40 years (including several for a logging railroad) and wasn't aware that the mill pipes were considered to be railroad equipment. He isn't sending it back, because the buildings are usable and will just require more customizing than expected. But, it would have been nice if the box had stated the tubing/pipes weren't included either.

Missing items
Last page of instructions were missing, and all piping was not included. There should have been piping to connect the pieces as shown in the color picture on the front of the box.

A pleasing kit as an addition to a modelled sawmill
This is a quality kit of 4 outbuildings critical to the generation of woodchips as a by-product of a modern sawmill. While the kit comes in 3 or 4 different colours, it only looks realistic if every pert is painted a more realistic colour (easy to do). The instructions have a couple of minor errors relating to part numbers but are still easy to follow. While the details of 3 of the buildings are adequate, the 4th building (which is not shown on the box cover photo) has insufficient detail in that it is supposed to be a debarking operation but has neither any interior detail to what is a fairly open building and no conveyor to put logs through it. You will have to scratch build to compensate for these omissions. In summary, it is a great addition to a sawmill on a layout.
