Favorite Kanoodle!
The media could not be loaded. Super fun! The kids have had this out nonstop since we got it. It’s a single player game but with each round only like 60 seconds, they take turns. I love that it doesn’t need batteries and that the puzzles get pretty hard. The first ones are naturally easier, but with over 100 puzzles, it is getting a ton of play. My Kanoodle playing kids say this one is their favorite!

fun, brain boosting activity
I recently got this kanoodle shape escape, and so far its been a fantastic, non-screen way to challenge spatial reasoning and logic skills for myself and my family. The game is basically a physical version of Tetris, and the concept is pretty straightforward to use the provided puzzle shapes to fit a specific pattern shown on the challenge cards. The set has 53 cards, which comes out to106 puzzles, and provides excellent replay value. The difficulty scales nicely, offering enough challenge to keep my 8 year old and me engaged without getting too frustrated. The quality of the components is high, and the puzzle pieces are made of solid rubber and are easy to manipulate. The game has a timer mechanism, which helps with an exciting element of speed and pressure. While the instructions are a bit poor, the setup is simple enough, you solve the puzzle and then test the solution on the game board by seeing if the pieces fit through the card's hole before the timer runs out. A couple of minor issues to note, the design of the board makes it difficult to fit back into the small box once fully assembled, and the timer's indicator is hard to see against the black background. But, these are small complaints. Overall, the game is a good value and a fun, brain boosting activity for older kids and adults.

Fun concept
I was excited to order this for my kids, and even myself, as something to play without needing someone else to join in. I like the he idea and game concept, however, while assembly is very easy, trying to disassemble don’t can fit back in the box is a pain! I think they can review that and make some improvements to allow us to easily disconnect the tower piece to put away easy. Otherwise, it works as expected.

Fun for the family
My wife and I enjoy randomly testing our spatial reasoning skills when an opportunity presents itself. We all remember those types of problems we used to have in school. Kanoodle Shape Escape is a great way to make it fun for us and our son. The younger on is too young to participate but he enjoys watching. This game is made well. The shapes are sturdy and easy to manipulate. Storage doesn't take up much space at all and can be easy to bring on the go. This makes it that much more valuable for me because I feel like spatial reasoning skills are important in life and this is a great way for kids to develop those skills while having fun. You can't beat that! It comes with 53 cards for a total of 106 puzzles and some can be challenging. Everything has worked well on it so far and we've had some good fun with it. It's not a great family game that can keep everyone's attention for a long time (at least for us since we have 2 young kids and 1 can't participate) but my son has been using it to challenge himself to get better.

Educational Insights Kanoodle® Shape Escape – 3D Brain Teaser Puzzle
My family loves to do family game night. I ordered this with the intention of adding it to our family game stash. Unfortunately, this is more of a solo game and requires a lot of guesswork to figure out (unclear instructions). I'm not sure if the makers of this game assume people who buy this game have knowledge of other versions of Kanoodle under their belt or what, but it took some time to figure out. This doesn't make for much of a group game, which is unfortunate. I also think it's suited for a slightly higher age range than 7 years plus. Among the things that I appreciate with this game are the small size, good quality and solid box for storage (my kids usually ruin most game boxes because the cardboard is so flimsy). The top thing that I don't particularly love is how few puzzle cards there are. If you like this game and play it frequently, it will eventually become a game of memorizing the puzzle options and using memory recall versus actively strategizing to find a solution. Essentially, this is not an endlessly usable game with limitless possibilities, so the enjoyment will be finite...and depending on how good the player's recall is and how long or little they play, it could start to lose that strategizing excitement after just a couple of sessions.

Very puzzling!
My son loves this Kanoodle set! He played it for hours after receiving it. The difficulty level is just right. It’s not so difficult and not so easy that you would lose interest too quickly. The quality is very good and there are 106 puzzles. This is a good value and it’s a great alternative to screen time.

Fun and challenging puzzle game
Our family has fun with this just figuring out the puzzles on the challenge cards without using the actual game part. The kids like putting the completed puzzle on the game board and setting and releasing the timer just to see if they’re right, but otherwise it doesn’t give you much time to complete the puzzle. Directions are very poor but it’s not too difficult to figure out how to set it up. A good parent/child activity and a fun video game alternative for older kids and adults.
