Super fun, very well made race buggy, excellent value, easy to use, good battery life at 15-20 min, looks great, drives great, takes a beating and keeps going, easily repairable but it’s hard to break, faster than expected. Update: First review was with 2s battery. Once I bought a 3s battery and charger, things changed a bit. After reaching about half speed, the rear end wobbled, the faster it went, the more severe the wobble became. The local hobby shop recommended turning down the dynamic stability control, which helped a little. The real eye opener came from purchasing a second blx grom, without the battery and charger. The difference is night and day, as the second car is smooth and stable at all speeds. After carefully comparing them, I found on this one that, the rear suspension arms and hub knuckles are very sloppy, allowing the rear wheels to have excessive play front to rear.. While I had broken a shock on the front from running into a rock, the rear hadn’t really taken any kind of hit. I bought replacement parts, all suspension arms and knuckle hubs, and shocks. The front end replacement went perfect, but the rear had, half the screws stripped before I even got to them. There’s a little grip tightening, but no grip at all loosening. Almost seems like somebody had already taken the rear apart before I got it. I’m waiting for a slightly over size wrench, which will hopefully get the bad screws out. I’m not finding replacement screws on ARRMA’s website, so I’m stuck with having to use lesser quality screws, which is the only screws I can find, so far. This Grom BLX, gets 2 stars. There’s at least 3/8” of slop in the right rear, and 1/4” of slop in the left rear, no wonder it wobbles, the second one I bought is tight, both rear wheels dont have any slop, there’s almost no front to rear movements at all, in the suspension, 1/64” at most, and the screws aren’t already stripped out either.
