Nette Bildzusammenstellung
Alles in allem schon ok

Excellent Production Quality, But Art Selection Is Hit-or-Miss
As a huge Elder Scrolls fan who's played Daggerfall, Morrowind, and Skyrim, I grabbed this as a standalone art book without knowing about the board game it accompanies. I've had it for about six weeks, and it's definitely the best game art book I've owned, though that's more about production quality than content. Production quality is outstanding: Having worked as a production planner for a book manufacturer, I can say this strikes me as very well made. The cover is particularly lovely - I really like the textured, aged appearance. What some might think are scuffs on the back cover appear intentional to look weathered. No shipping damage on mine. The size and weight work well with other RPG books in my collection. Print quality delivers: Good cover construction, quality pages with nice color reproduction. No complaints about the physical book itself. Art content disappointed my expectations: While the character studies and item art are just okay, I wasn't thrilled with the variety. Too many pages devoted to mundane objects like food items when I was hoping for more unusual imagery I haven't seen before. A few full-color bleeds and spreads were quite nice, but my expectations might have been too high. The balance of text to art is fine - there's a fair amount of lore text - I just wanted different art pieces than what we got. More reference than art showcase: This feels designed as a game reference rather than a pure art collection. The organization is fine for that purpose, though I can't speak to its usefulness since I don't have the board game yet. Usage pattern: This was mostly a one-time read-through for me, though I occasionally return to look at some of the art. I know it sounds like I hate it, but I don't - I just didn't need pages of item art for everyday objects. Subjective value: As gaming art books go, this is really nice. As high-quality art books go, I've seen much better. But that cover is something else - quite attractive and could sit on a coffee table or shelf as a display piece. Who should buy this: If you're a serious Elder Scrolls fan or know someone head-over-heels for this game world, it's worth considering. Otherwise, feel free to give it a miss. Important warning: Try to preview the art content before buying. When I got this from Amazon, there were no sample images available. I bought it based purely on my love of the lore, which led to mixed expectations. Bottom line: The art selection is really subjective and the book itself is high quality. It's something you'll either love or live without - very much a YMMV situation.

Elder Scrolls: Betrayal of the Second Era Artbook
It is important to point out right off the bat that this artbook is specifically meant to be an art companion to the Elder Scrolls board game. While the lore included is the same lore discovered in the videogames, it's not specifically about any of the videogames. However, it's still a great resource for lore in the world of Tamriel, and the artwork is stunning. It would be especially helpful to help visualize the characters, races, and locations found in the game setting, in full-color and realistic detail. The book itself is very high quality. The hardcover is well-manufactured, and the embossment on the front is a nice touch. The pages are thick and sturdy, with little danger of ripping or tearing as you peruse the book. It looks very classic, like it belongs in one of the libraries you might plunder in the games. It would make an excellent gift for any fan of the series, whether they are playing the video games, the table top role playing games, or the board games within the world. Also, fans of incredible fantasy art with no experience in the games will still find a lot to love about this book. I highly recommend it.

Must-Have for Elder Scrolls Fans!
The Elder Scrolls: Betrayal of the Second Era Artbook is a fantastic addition for any roleplayer or fan of the series. The hardcover format is sleek and sturdy, and the 8" x 10" size is just right for easy browsing. Packed with stunning art and rich lore, it brings the world to life beyond the game screen and offers plenty of inspiration for storytelling and character development. Whether you're into tabletop campaigns, fan fiction, or just diving deeper into Tamriel’s history, this book delivers on depth and beauty.

Great book art
So this book heavily focuses of course on art related to the game. It doesn't have any major in-depth lore, but is beautifully displayed and great for any collector or fan of the series.
