One feature really disappointed me with these bags, but otherwise they are of great quality. The negative feature was the ties that form the two handles of each bag. They are ribbons with shoestring-type plastic tips on the two ends of the ribbon. These ties are threaded through each side of the bag, but they are not tied! You have to tie them yourself before you can use these bags -- and these ribbons (ties) are so short that once they are tied, there is very little ribbon left over to grab onto to carry these bags. This seems a real negative point for these bags, and I would definitely never buy them again. (All gift bags from other companies I've bought in past years have ties that are already tied and are long enough to make it easy to carry the gift bags.) To me this is a real problem with these bags. I'm still giving 4 stars in this review because aside from the too-short (and untied) ribbon ties, the bags are really of high quality. The paper is very heavy and the designs are very festive and well rendered. If they had gotten the ties right, this would have been a great product.

Hallmark has a certain level of quality associated with them and these bags are no different. They have a nice look and feel to them. Smallest bag - 6" This would be ideal for a gift of jewelry or something similar size Medium bag - 9" This would be ideal for a gift the size of a hardback book Large bag - 13" This would be ideal for a gift the size of a smaller puzzle box or a small board game. The only downside is the ribbon handles could stand being longer, but that's nothing major.

No glitter!
I hate glitter because it gets everywhere, so I always try to get cards and bags that don't have glitter on them. It can be hard to find, especially at Christmas time, so these Hallmark bags are perfect! Not a speck of glitter in sight. Now my hands and house can remain clean and glitter-free. Aside from that, these bags are very well constructed. They are sturdy and can definitely be reusable. The three sizes offer a good variety for the gifts that I will give this year. For reference, I would say the smallest sized bag can hold a nice card, gift card, jewelry box, etc.
