Smooth large nib pen
An excellent fountain pen from Asvine. No 8 size Medium nib puts down a lot of ink. Stabilised wood is nice in the hand. It's a chunky pen but no too heavy. Great writer.

Asvine has fixed the C2000
This is the review of the new Asvine C2000 Green Oasis I was very impressed with how the nib performed and how well now the cap seals. On this last point, the first C2000 I purchased was showing dryness issues (cap was not sealing). I can confirm that new/current version has this issue fixed Packaging & Accessories: 10/10 Usually Asvine plastic box with foam insert. The box is a tad small for the pen (more on this below) and the pen comes with a nice converter with a reinforced nipple. The pen is a cartridge/converter pen and it accepts standard Chinese cartridges (3.4mm bore). Aesthetics & Quality 9/10 The pen has an unusual aesthetic: the cap has a flat top, while the end of the pen is round. This is a big pen and it has to be to make sure that the #8 nib looks good with the rest of the pen/ From the top, the cap exhibits a flat top with a nice gold clip (possibly a tad too small compared with the rest of the pen). The clip is nicely springy and usable. The cap tapers down, where you find “Asvine” written in golden ink and in the back “C2000” in golden ink. I find the size of the characters nice. There is a step down and the pen keeps tapering down to a round finial. Unscrewing the pen reveals the #8 nib: this is a big golden plated nib that shown a nice scroll work that seems “art deco” inspired. It reminds me of the Parker arrow nibs. There is the nib size imprinted in the nib (1.1 in this case) and “Asvine”. Moving toward the end of the pen we meet a golden round part and the wooden section, which is generously sized. Then the cap threads, which are golden plated as the nib, and slight step-up. The section is comfortable and long enough to accommodate different ways of holding the pen. I compare the C2000 to the Asvine C80: the shape is different as the latter is more of an usual cigar-shaped pen and the C2000 is longer and larger. Nib and writing quality 10/10 This nib is awesome: smooth as glass. It writes immediately with no skips (see writing sample). The nib and feed unit can be removed for maintenance and replacement. The pen is very wet: keep in mind this is a fine (see writing sample), but it is super wet and this probably part of the reason is so smooth. I love it! The nib is a true Western fine (or Japanese medium). Compared to the nib I got on the first C2000, this nib is like day and night. The first one (a stub) was scratchy, dry and misaligned. I can say that Asvine did a wonderful job with this nib, very impressed. Weight and Dimensions: 8/10 The pen is big and long ( see picture compared to C80) and it doesn’t post (well, given how long it is why would you want to post the cap in the first place). It is not heavy, given that is wood and the section is long enough to be able to find a comfortable hold. The section is a bit on the thicker side, so for people with smaller hands this might be a problem. I have medium (tending to large) hands and the section and the pen is just fine for me. Compared to C80, the C80 is light (acrylic/resin construction) and the section is slightly slimmer. I prefer the C2000 section, but both pens are excellent. Cost & Value: 9/10 Overall, I think the pen is great value. The seal issue is fixed, the esthetics are great, build construction is awesome and this fine nib is wonderful. The pen is big (I love big pens) and it is very comfortable. Conclusion: (46/50) Excellent pen! Asvine proves again how much care and attention puts on customers’ feedback. When the C2000 came out, many complained about the cap not sealing and Asvine has taken that feedback and improved the cap (probably by using the gasket that can be purchased separately to fix the issue on the first release of this pen). The nib shows great care on quality control: the C2000 nib is superior to the C80 nib (I have a fine on the C80 as well). The nib is smooth has glass, gliding on paper like no other nib I have. Definitely a “go to” pen.

Excelente
Las estilografivas de la serie Asvine C2000, tanto las de madera como las de ebonita son maravillosas. Tengo seis de la serie de madera y las tres de ebonita. Fué, en su tiempo, una pena que las de madera se secara el plumín, estropeé dos de color claro. Sin embargo he segido comprandolas y no me arrepiento. Muy recomendable Gracias Asvine
