She loves it
Such a wonderful little kit. My 5 year old is barbie obsessed right now and she instantly adored this. It’s been hard to get a true response or even a look in but all I’ve heard is amazing things from her.

Please no make-up for kids!
Whilst this is a nice toy for Barbie fans and provides a wardrobe for Barbie's clothes and accessories, I really do object to having make-up marketed at young girls. All make-up was removed from this before it was given to the little one who just uses it as a wardrobe as is delighted. We live in a very image-conscious world and girls are being forced into make-up and nail painting from ever younger ages. I think kids should be allowed to be kids for as long as possible without this nonsense being pushed on them. This could easily be marketed without the make-up and with Barbie accessories added instead and if this change was made I'd be awarding a higher star rating.

My daughter loves Barbie
My daughter loves Barbie so I ordered this for her. She really enjoyed opening it and seeing the accessories, which she's played with on her existing Barbies. It clearly says "doll not included" but still she was a little disappointed to get this reasonable size set without the doll.

It looks lovely, but actually not great value when you really look at whats in there.
Now, I have two girls age 10 and 12, so have seen my fair share of various children's make up and dollies. I thought this looked a lovely gift for someone a little younger and so gave it our friends just 7 year old daughter to explore together. First off it looks lovely, anyone receiving this gift would be thrilled on opening it no doubt about it. It does make it clear that no Barbie is included, that is fine, but essentially what you are getting is a toughened shoe box sized box, with a a space to put your Barbie, some play make up and little light up LED mirror. I can't state enough that it looks fab- grandparents would think they had done a fab job for a little Barbie fan. It comes with a little hangers to put your barbies clothes on- but no rail that we could see to put them on, and a nice empty space to put your Barbie in and shut her in the box. So you could carry her around if taking your box out for the day to family or friends. It came with some pretty your make up that wasn't too grown up and children would enjoy putting on when looking in the light up mirror. But thats about it! I think really for what it is , its a little overpriced. Looks the bees knees....but likely to be played with for about 10 minutes before you realise its an empty decorated box with a few bits of make up on and actually pretty disappointing. Other people seem to think that it is great but in my honest opinion I just don't think its up to very much for the price they are asking.

A fun accessory for Barbie's fans – no doll included
Mattel's Barbie has been around since 1959 and she is looking pretty good for her age! Since she was launched over a billion Barbie dolls have been sold and she seems to be undergoing something of a renaissance at the moment. This Barbie Fab Beauty Wardrobe doesn't come with a doll included – it is purely an accessory – but you do get quite a lot of bits & pieces as well as the wardrobe. The set features some fun make-up products, such as nail polishes and eyeshadow, which are designed to be safe for youngsters to use. The age guide is three years plus, but you would probably need to supervise those at the the younger end to make sure the cosmetics were used properly. Currently around twenty-seven pounds from Amazon this is a good value item that would be a perfect gift idea for Barbie fans this Christmas.
