Natural beauty highlighted
This sculpt is unique and made to the likeness of venus. I don't follow tennis or the Williams sisters careers. I am not a sports person. I just like having a new face in my collection. Her body is tall MTM, and a similar match to the "barbie basics you create kit 3" dolls. You can swap her onto another body type of your choosing. The tennis ball detaches from the racket. Her outfit is 2 pieces. I like the top better on curvy figures, they seem to fill it in better. I wish she had 2 wrist bands like venus had in the picture on the back of the box. But the doll only comes with 1. The braided pony tail can be removed. Lots of gel on the bottom of the braid. After washing the hair in boiled water, she was left with big waves and a middle part. The hair is a little less dense at the top of the head but nothing you can't camouflage with her hair parted correctly. The face had minimal makeup, very subtle, natural look. She looks like a real person. She wears removable earrings, a white visor and a necklace. Her white outfit pieces can blend easily with other fashions. Made to move bodies are the most superior in articulation for modern barbies. The bodies feel solid and have more weight than the hollow plastic used for other types of articulated barbies. This would also make a wonderful gift for action figure collectors or fans of tennis. For the price and what you get, this doll is a winner. Although meant for adults, older kids would appreciate the flexibility of this doll for play.

Venus Barbie is so INSPIRATIONAL!
The Venus Barbie is stunning. It looks just like her Wimbledon win in the mid 2000’s. It was a great value and the attention to detail from her visor to her racket are excellent. She fits in the same shelf as all of the other inspiring women series Barbie’s and will fit in a 12” shelf. She stays in the box so I’m not sure how she moves.

Another for the collection!!
I collect Barbie dolls, and this is a welcomed addition to my collection. Venus Williams, the tennis phenom, has been immortalized in Barbie’s Inspirational Women series. She’s an athlete, advocate and role model to many. This doll has captured the likeness of this living athlete, and she even has a tennis racket, ball and shoes. While this is my 4th in the series, it will definitely not be my last. **Amazon definitely didn't disappoint. The box is in perfect condition. Perfect for the collector.

SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL
I am writing about this doll because I read a review that she had one eye bigger than the other I just wanted everyone to know that Venus has a lazy eye. I know this because I have one as well. I wanted to be sure before I posted this review, so I went back and did a history report on her and she does have a lazy eye it was operated on that she may have better vision. please this is a beautiful, beautiful doll. I am very glad that this was caught just shows how detailed that Mattel is. I’ve added her to my collection. I’m proud she’s in it waiting for her sister just in case I missed it.Somebody let me know if Serena came out yet by Mattel. Have a great one.
