If you are new to Teaching or an experienced practitioner, this is an excellent book. We need to understand the ethics of excellence otherwise we will not grow has teachers, more important, we will not inspire students to become excellent learners.

Fabulous workbook
This workbook is a fantastic resource that gives insight into how Berger's ethics can be translated into transforming school culture.

Read the real book
If you want to understand the ideas behind the Ethics of Excellence read Ron Berger’s book rather than this summary. The real book will inspire you to want more for your students.

Better just to read Ethic of Excellence
A bit disappointing. It’s clear that the author and the contributors are passionate about Berger’s work and have put it to good use in their settings, but the chosen examples are so vague (perhaps limited by the need to be short and snappy to fit this series of book). Obviously there’s some amazing things going on in the schools profiled in the book but the description of exactly what is happening is so surface-level and brief that it feels difficult to take anything away. Perhaps the original text doesn’t lend itself to this format? Other reviewers have been more complimentary so perhaps it just didn’t work for me, but I would just suggest buying the original. I read the kindle version which also contained a number of typos and layout errors.
