Makes the track more exciting.
I like that it's inexpensive and fits with the Thomas tracks. However I wish the curve was the same as the Thomas tracks. You can't make a circle out of Thomas or compatible corner tracks and just replace a piece with this. This piece turns at a much sharper angle. When we build elaborate tracks we start with this piece because it's hard to get it to fit in an existing track. Now that I know that it's not a problem. Just something to think about. As it has been pointed out to me, the curve does match the curve of the short 3" thomas curved pieces. I don't use the short sharper corner pieces very often so I didn't notice it before. We have issues with the 3 axel trains derailing on the sharper corners.

Slips between tracks
he train slips between the different lines so you have to physically push the train in the right direction... so not good for battery operated trains. Fine for toddlers who can trouble shoot simple issues.

These are great to have for wooden train lovers. They add to the ability of creativity with the tracks. Durable and connected well with both my Thomss tracks and my generic tracks.

Cheap
The "wood" was extremely cheap and was not even close to matching the other track pieces we own as far as color or feel. The bigger issue is that the curve is to sharp to allow the trains to turn.
