An alternative message of condolence for a death.
A friend sent me a similar card when I lost my wife to cancer. It was so different than other cards I recived at the time. I was struck by the sentiment of the eskimo legend. The idea that what we see as stars are openings where the love of our lost ones shines through I found to be uplifting. Don't get me wrong I appreciated the sympathy cards I got at the time, but this card did stand out from the rest. So much that I searched shops for this card and could not find it. In the end I did locate it on Amazon, a bought a few copies to use in the event of other friends passing away. I have used them for this purpose a few times now. My hope being that the sentiment expressed would be appreciated in the same way I did. The card are good quality and letter size for posting.
