Scale or See saw?

In my mind this was a fun way to teach my son about measuring and balancing but he loves to use it as a see saw for his sponges. It comes in a pretty small box and you attach the trays to each end of the animals head yourself then stick the plunger on the wall or side of the bath. I struggled to get it to balance and the tiles/weights/monkey faces tend to slide off if you put too many on (but making things go plop is half the fun of bath toys anyway). It's supposed to be particularly mould resistant so I left one of the monkey faces in the most unpleasant part of the shower for a month and it still looks as good as new.

Fun Scale - Antimicrobial
My grandson loved his Matchstick Monkey teethers when he was very small and I loved how easy they were to keep clean and could even be put throught he dishwasher. Now, he is 15 months he can move onto the bath toys. This toy is for age 12 months plus. It come sin a nice neutral, clean looking box so would make a nice gift. A Matchstick Monkey stlished polar bear head forms the centre oft he scale and it has a sturdy sucker behind. It sticls well so the matt white tiles in the bathroom and really well to the plastic bath. It also sticks onto clean cupboard doors and smooth non porous surfaces so the scale can be used as a toy in another room other than a bathroom. The arms slip easily inot place. The scale comes with 6 tiles with Matchstick Monkey's head on them so you can play at balancing the scale. The scale bowls are pretty shallow and small but other small figures and blocks could be used to make the scale arms move up and down. The scale arms move very eaily on the circular axis at the back of the polar bear head. The scale is coated in an antimicrobial agent so that mould and mildew - the enemy of bath toys everywhere is less likely to take hold. My grandson enjoys this toy but it isn't his favourite bath toy as he is more interested in floating boats and stacking cups at present but I think it will have longevity as an older child will get more play value out of understanding how placing things on the scale cause a reaction.

A bit expensive but a great bath toy
The Matchstick Monkey Bathtime Scale Balance Bath Toy is a lot smaller than I was initially expecting for the price. The toy comes with a polar bear themed scale with the two arms to be added on yourself on its arrival. There is a suction cup behind the polar bears face that sticks well and doesn't fall off easily. There are six weights which are with the matchstick monkey face on that can be placed on either side of the scale to help children understand weight. I like that this encourages children to experiment with maths, weight and counting as it gives them a fun opportunity to do so. This is a nice toy that provides a little fun and education during bath time but it's not a toy that would keep most childrens attention for too long and I think it is quite pricey for what it is. Despite this though it is a very well made product that feels great quality.

Great toy
The Matchstick Monkey Bathtime Scale Balance Bath Toy is a great sensory learning toy for babies 12 months old and up. It comes with 1 scale and 6 weight chips, making it a fun way for kids to learn about balance and weight. The Polar Bear design is cute and the toy is also antimicrobial, which is a plus for keeping it clean in the bath. Overall, a great bath toy option for little ones.

No room for 3 chips
Weight chips are a bit heavy with round safe corners. The polar bear is made from a good quality silicone and looks cute. Unfortunately there is no room on the scales for 3 weight clips. The third one is constantly falling down because they are slippery in the water. Also maybe i installed it incorrectly so one of the scales are falling down with a same amount of weight chips. But this toy looks great and brings lots of joy.
