Which is cuter? The little purse or the ‘lunchbox’ tin?
2 young neighbors 9 & 14 came over one day and the 8 year old was really in to it! Of course I let her take the lunch box home when she finished (but secretly I wanted it!). This is an easy project to practice fine motor skills. Not too many girls are growing up learning how to sew anymore and work with their hands. And as a 72 year old I see sewing as a way to learn hand eye coordination, numbers in inches, yards and also basic repair of clothing and broken zippers and sewing buttons back on. It was also a lot of fun to make my own clothes after my mother gradually stopped making clothes for us. And these kinds of small projects can light a fire under some kids.

This item was a Christmas gift for my 6 year old daughter. We really enjoyed our time working on it together. It's tedious and probably took us about 4 hours in total. She did need my help, I don't think she could have completed on her own. But, this was perfect activity for the holiday break and we were both very into it (the process is "so satisfying"). The finished design is super cute and functional. She loves carrying things around in her new purse along with the pride from having made it herself! Top notch gift; if I could give 10 stars I would. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Petit Collage DIY Arts and Craft Kit, Felt Bag and Coin-Purse
This is a cute little forest-themed craft kit to make a small shoulder bag and coin purse. It comes in a darling tin box (similar to vintage school lunch boxes) that can be re-used for a myriad of other purposes. The kit is kid-friendly with pre-cut felt pieces and all supplies needed. One piece already has a zipper sewed in place and another piece has sewed-on velcro. The pieces have pre-punched holes to make it easy for young crafters to hand sew them together. The directions are mostly pictorial and are easy to follow. The one issue we had was in threading the fatter cord (the one meant to be used as a shoulder strap) through the little holes on the bag. This was the only part I had to do for my daughter and it was even challenging for me.

Easy and sweet forest craft; tin is great, too
This is a fairly easy craft to do, and it goes together pretty quickly. I'm an adult crafter and was able to make it in one session. The most difficult things have already been taken care of, such as cutting out the shapes and attaching the zipper. As for quality I'm a bit picky, so I'd rather it were wool felt (it doesn't seem to be), which would probably hold up a bit better. And instead of hook and loop ("Velcro") attachment for the acorn, I wish it attached with a button, the same way the purse closes. The only thing genuinely wrong with the set, though, was that the acorn cap had the wrong number of holes for the stitches to look "right" (the first and last stitch meet with no gap between, so they don't look "right"). I fixed this by adding one extra stitching hole. I'm a big fan of tins. They're such a nice way to hold a little collection of things, and I store all sorts of things in them. This one is just perfect for a little collection for kids--perhaps even of things they find out in nature. It's such a nice added touch that this craft kit comes in reusable packaging that, in my opinion, is just as special as the craft itself. If not more so! Overall, this is a sweet little craft that's fairly easy to do. I especially appreciate that they didn't skimp on any of the supplies. So many companies seem to give you just barely enough to get by, but I was left with plenty of embroidery floss.

Best quality beginners sewing set of all times!!! :-D
8 1/2 year old got this as a gift from her uncle. She is very interested in sewing and has high hopes to make a good finished product, wanting to "sew" this or that. But her ability is not that far advanced of an expert yet. She's rather trying to sew patches together to make a doll's cape, etc. Trying to make, design and succeed, but the finished product is often a bit apart from her imagination and then she gets upset because it didn't work out as she hoped or planned it would... THIS SET HERE IS FANTASTIC!!! Starting from the instructions, all in pictures and very simple and clear. Easy for her to follow ON HER OWN! Step by step and the RESULT made her VERY PROUD! THIS IS HER VERY OWN SELF MADE PURSE!!!!! Material is of great quality. Everything you need is included. Very cute design. Super durable. Everything matches up exactly 100 %, nothing even just slightly off of the pre-printed sewing stensiled out dots. Everything lines up just right. Again, great quality! And lastly, it's self made and she was so HAPPY & PROUD! I can only RECOMMEND this product. Best sewing / learning to sew with success kit of all times! Yay!! :-D
