Entspannendes Malprojekt mit kleinen Kompromissen ... Anfänger geeignet ...

Ich habe das Set mit den 6 Malen-nach-Zahlen-Motiven von Bougimal für uns besorgt, einfach um mal wieder etwas Kreatives zu machen, das nicht gleich überfordert. Die Motive sind schön gewählt, vor allem die Blumenlandschaften wirken freundlich und laden zum Ausprobieren ein. Die Leinwände kommen aufgerollt, was ich persönlich gut finde, da sie dadurch keine Knicke haben. Die Zahlen und Linien sind gut lesbar, auch wenn bei manchen Bildern die Druckqualität etwas schwankt – bei einem Motiv waren die Linien etwas blasser, was das Ausmalen erschwert hat. Die Acrylfarben sind kräftig und decken gut, allerdings trocknen sie recht schnell ein, wenn man nicht aufpasst. Es lohnt sich, die Farbtöpfchen zwischendurch zu verschließen. Die Pinsel sind okay – nicht hochwertig, aber für den Zweck ausreichend. Wer öfter malt, wird vermutlich lieber eigene Pinsel verwenden. Was mir gut gefallen hat: Man kann sich wirklich entspannen dabei. Es ist kein stressiges Projekt, sondern eher etwas, das man nebenbei oder abends machen kann. Die Bilder sind nicht riesig, aber für den Einstieg oder als kleine Beschäftigung völlig in Ordnung. Ich würde 4,5 von 5 Sternen geben. Es ist kein Premium-Set, aber für den Preis und die Menge an Motiven bekommt man eine solide Grundlage für entspannte Malstunden. Wer Perfektion erwartet, wird vielleicht kleine Schwächen finden – wer einfach kreativ sein will, wird zufrieden sein.

Ganz toll

Das Malen nach Zahlen wird in einem Karton geliefert. Die drei Leinwände sind leicht eingeschlagen. An den Rändern sind sie etwas zerknittert weil der Karton zu klein ist. Wäre er nur einen Zentimeter breiter, wäre es perfekt. Die Zahlen sind gut erkennbar und der Stoff ist nicht zu dünn. Es sind zwei Päckchen mit Pinseln dabei, die in Ordnung sind. Die Farben sind auch gut und ausreichend, und für alle Bilder separat verpackt. Eine Anleitung und Zahlenvergleichszettel sind noch dabei. Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Set, alle Materialien sind gut, und die Motive sind schön. Sie können einzeln oder zusammen aufgehängt werden. Bei den Produktbildern ist übrigens die Reihenfolge der Bilder verkehrt dargestellt.

Complete kit except frame

This paint by number kit comes with three sections of printed canvas, plenty of numbered paint cups and two sets of three paint brushes of different sizes, this way you can get even the smallest sections painted easily. It is described as "rolled canvas" but it really isn't rolled but placed into the box and the ends are loosely folded over the included supplies, which is really nice because you aren't having to fight with creases or a tightly rolled, curled canvas. This is going to keep me busy for a while!

Lovely design, nice canvases, everything you need to complete all three

Everything comes in a box with the canvases lightly bent; a quick run over the back of each canvas with an iron easily removed the bend, although I think simply letting the canvases lay flat with some weight on them would probably flatten them out, too. The canvases are smooth with a slight "tooth" to it (helps paint stick better imho) and at least to me, they feel a bit better quality than I usually get in typical paint-by-number kits. The outlines and numbers are very clearly printed. They include paper printouts of each design making even the smallest numbers easy to read, which my old eyes really appreciate. The paint is your typical acrylic paint that comes with most all paint by number kits, a reasonably adequate quality. The paint colors are nice but do look a bit dull when dry. I'm not worried about that because I always apply a clear coat over my paint-by-numbers when done, which always makes the colors pop. This also comes with two sets of three brushes which are of adequate quality. Overall, this kit is pretty much exactly what I expected. I really like the "triptych" design of three paintings that can be hung together or separately, and I love this mountain landscape design. I genuinely look forward to finishing all three canvases. Here's a tip to up your paint-by-number game: Get some clear gesso and brush a thin coating on the front of the canvas before you start painting. Once dry, start painting and not only will your colors seem to "pop" a bit more, you will have better paint coverage and the numbers won't show through the paint!

The colors don't match...anything.

While I did not expect perfection i did expect the colors to match from one picture to the other. Where the pictures are mentioned to meet the colors are very different from each other and not even close to the package image. Still fun, but sad. I am trying to decide what to do with it.
