Dommage qu'un mini-mode d'emploi ne soit pas joint, ni un étui. Sinon l'objet est superbe

Sturdy and useful tool.
This is what i needed. It's accurate and very useful for my artwork. It makes it easy to change the size for sketching. It is already one of my favorite art tools.

Assez satisfait… Par contre, les pointes auraient du être un peu plus pointu.

Neat little tool
This little tool is really handy for scaling reference photos up or down. Everything seems to work just fine. I fell in love with it instantly. My main issue is the lack of instructions. I'm kind of still winging it when it comes to figuring out how to properly scale things based on the notches and different scales that are on it. But it's still extremely useful and I'm certain I'll figure it out soon enough.

Shoddy and imprecise
First off, I do not expect these cheap brass proportional dividers to be perfectly precise - just to be clear. But when even the 1:1 ratio is well over a 16th off, it makes these pretty much useless for anything other than loosely transferring a sketch or draft. and the imprecision on these pretty much carries all the way through the different ratios. The gauge cuts are also just all over the place and seem just random going off at weird angles - even the central line for determining the gauge/ratio is at an angle of about 10 degrees, meaning its impossible to actually line up properly. The screw assembly is also seems to be just all out of whack, along with the rest stop "locking" into its space, as when it is set - it is impossible to open/operate properly. I regularly use proportional dividers as an artist/designer. This thing is about the brass equivalent of one of them plastic dividers, which is to say not accurate enough for anything you might want a metal divider for and overpriced for the quality of the tool. I bought this as a companion to my 9in divider so i don't always need to use such a long divider for smaller proportions, but when the thing transfers at a 16th or more variance from the set ratio, it is pretty much useless for that purpose. I know full well that these are not the 400$+ high precision dividers, but at least a little consistency is appreciated, and at least the 1:1 ratio actually be 1:1 and not 1:1.0625~ and to actually have the marking be perpendicular and presentable. This thing is embarrassing as a tool - and doesn't look good as a show piece either. Cheap, mostly accurate metal dividers do have a market, but you need to actually have them presentable and mostly accurate. I do not recommend this particular version, but I will be keeping it as I abhor the "mail-back" game and I am sure I can find some use for it - probably after I manually fix the markings myself and try to hone in the 1:1 ratio with a file.

Try a different product...
After being emailed weekly since my purchase to review their product I have finally broke down to review it. The first day of use it broke, the little screw that adjust so you can loosen or tighten it up stop working..I really didn’t want to write this review but hopefully by giving my honest feedback they will stop emailing me..also I did already write a review but amazon blocked it for some reason..claiming I used foul language? Which I didn’t..either way here you go...I’d suggest buying the plastic one..looks like it has a better system of locking the calipers in place.
