So cool, can't wait until December
This is a fun advent calendar. It has 24 boxes of blocks that form an entire Christmas scene by the time it's finished. I didn't build it yet since December hasn't started, but wanted to put my review in anyway so others who are interested will have time to order it before December starts. I opened the day one box, perused the instructions, and made sure I received all the correct box numbers since another reviewer had an issue with it. So far, everything checks out. In my set, there was a small sticker sheet that seems to be a part of day 11 and 24's instruction just floating around in the the large box. I'll have to be careful not to lose it. The bricks look the same as name brand ones, and the instructions seem like they will be easy to follow, although they don't mention the LED lights anywhere so I thought my set didn't include that feature. However, thanks to another reviewer, I was able to locate the lights in box 24! I'm going to bring this to work and put it on my desk to bring myself a little holiday cheer each day while most of my coworkers are on vacation. If I run into any issues or missing pieces while building, I'll report back here. But for now I recommend this for kids and grownups alike.

Nice quality advent for all ages! So much fun!!!
This is a really great value set! I usually get named brand sets and they're pricier, but this set is good quality to compare! The set is complete nothing is missing. I pulled the tray out and checked out each set, they are adorable!! Every year, the tradition is that each of us in the family even us parents get an advent calendar and open it together as a family, each night leading up to christmas! This is such a fun tradition for us! This particular set we plan on giving to our four year old boy. This is a great set for boys or girls of a wide variety of ages! It's a little set is very easy to assemble! This is a good size up and quality is great! I highly recommend this set as a good alternative to name brand!

Absolutely Delightful Advent Calendar!

CUTE, Tricky Directions, Compatible With Other Brands
I didn’t want to open this since it was for Advent, but I had to review the block quality, brand compatibility and directions. Firstly it’s cute and comes with each day packaged separately in a bag within a labeled box. You’ll build Santa’s reindeer and his sleigh with a big Christmas tree and assorted stuff to make a scene. I opened the first day and was able to see and feel that these blocks are good quality. Not quite at the big brand, but very good. They are also compatible with the big brand block and snapped together just fine. The colors are bright and I was impressed…until I got to building. The directions aren’t great. And they are numbered weird, so make sure you find step #1. Us Americans reading left to right might be confused that step #1 is always on the top right, then #2 on bottom left of pages. Then comes assembly. The diagrams are confusing. I bet the tree will be a nightmare because of it being all green. So for day 1, they show the number of what blocks for each step, then you just follow the diagram. BUT, if a block needs blocks attached to the underside, it gets super confusing. It’s hard to explain, but I had to help my 12 year old son who built the HP castle by himself. The 18+ recommended age castle. Ages 6+ isn’t an accurate age recommendation unless you have a child prodigy. Any kid under 12 will need an adult for help.

Great Advent Calendar for Family Time
Kids are going to love this. I want to go through this with the kids in December so I only opened the first and last boxes to evaluate before I tape them backup and no one is the wiser. The main box is very nice and sturdy and will holdup well to multiple openings and closings. The first individual box held around a dozen and a half pieces. That looks to be about the average from leafing through the instuction book. The instructions are clear and have a section for each box. There is a tiny sheet of stickers with three stickers that look to go on the snowman and reindeer. The last box has the usual amount of pieces plus the light kit with the lights for the tree. I put together the pieces in the first box and they are nice and grippy, not too tight, and they don’t need a lot of force applied to connect. There is no year on the box so if you bought multiples for gifts and didn’t gift all of them, they could be given as gifts in later years. I really like that each box builds on the contents of the previous days boxes to get a couple of larger finished play sets instead of 24 different tiny things that would get scattered all over the house. I’m really looking forward to sharing this with the kids!
