Just get it!
As a proud owner of a real-life Lexus GX470, I've always admired its capability and rugged good looks. My passion for the full-size vehicle is what led me down the rabbit hole of the RC hobby, and I can honestly say, the Axial SCX24 Lexus GX470 is what got me completely hooked on RC crawlers. I had toyed with the idea of getting into RC cars before, but nothing ever truly grabbed my attention. When I saw that Axial had released a miniature, ready-to-run (RTR) version of my own truck, I knew I had to have it. I bought it as a fun little novelty, but it has turned into so much more. From the moment I took it out of the box, I was impressed. The scale details on this little rig are fantastic—from the body shape to the front grille and even the iconic rear-mounted spare tire. It looks like a perfect little replica of the real thing. But the real magic happens when you put it on the ground and start to crawl. The SCX24 platform is legendary for a reason, and the Lexus GX470 version is no exception. Right out of the box, it has a surprising amount of capability. It can climb over obstacles you wouldn't think possible for a truck of this size, navigating everything from indoor rock courses made of pillows and books to outdoor trails of dirt and small rocks. The 4WD system and impressive articulation make it an absolute blast to drive. The beauty of the SCX24 is that it's not just a toy you drive once and forget about. The aftermarket support is massive, and you can upgrade nearly every single part of this truck. I've already started adding brass weights to the wheels for better crawling performance and upgraded to a more powerful servo. It’s an endless, rewarding hobby of tinkering and improving. If you are on the fence about getting into RC crawlers, and especially if you have a soft spot for the Lexus GX470, just buy this truck. It's the perfect entry point into a fun, addictive, and incredibly rewarding hobby. It's a fantastic little rig that looks great, performs even better, and will quickly make you a fan of RC crawling.

Great truck.
This little truck is pretty great. I've enjoyed playing with it. It rolled over a little easier than I wanted so I bought wheel spacers. They make many metal parts for this truck, so it's upgradable.

Good platform to start with lots of fun to upgrade
Awesome truck very detailed. Hard body is sturdy but top heavy so truck rolls a little more than normal, but this can be remedied with a few upgrades that add weight to lower the center of gravity. Runs great with some new shocks and links and handles even better with some 12 gram aluminum offset wheels with slightly larger than stock tires. Although the motor struggles a little with the extra weight of the wheels and tires servo doesn’t seem any less responsive with them on but that’s okay just more fun to upgrade in the future solid starter platform in my opinion.

Great value RTR package
Great car, couldn’t be easier to set up. The amount of torque this thing gives is impressive. Most of the parts seem to be high quality but one 1.5ft nose dive onto concrete cracked the shell surrounding the headlight unfortunately. As stated earlier the gearing does a great job of providing torque and reducing speed so you can actually crawl although reverse speed is less precise than in forward. Battery life was very impressive as well, easily 25+ mins of run time.

Fun and easy to modify
Cool little RC truck. Had to buy a smaller version of my GX. Fun to run and easy to modify.

Broke after a couple weeks
Great at first. After a while it quit working and only the wheels move and they will not take a return for the value of product. It’s very durable though. Too lightweight and falls over a lot at a slight incline. Ok value for money

The best!
I have three of these now. Deadbolt, C10, and now the gx470. This one is by far my favorite out of all three. It looks amazing and still performs. Axial absolutely nailed it with this little truck.

I ordered this open boxed used and it didn’t come it the battery charger and since it didnt come with the battery charger i had to return it and the side mirror came broken but i fixed it and it did not drive it just turned on the lights and didnt move even when i pressed throttle didnt even come in good packaging the car was where the transmitter should be and the transmitter was where the car was so i would not recommend it just get a new version and quick note the servo and electronics had no problems the electronics also had no wear servo was really smooth just all the car was awesome expect for the problems
