Just like OEM part I had on my 2001 Dodge Intrepid. OMG, made a world of difference in both my steering as well as my shifting. For those, wanabe mechanics like me, make sure to buy yourself a chilton manual as well as look online. The on-line steps helped me even more. Get ready for a minimum 2-4 hour job, depending on how comfortable you are with taking apart your car. Dodge changed the design slightly on this part, I don't like it. This cable sits next to a CAT, the previous part had a thick rubber tubing around the part of the cable that sits next to the CAT, before connecting to your transmission. This worries me and I hope the heat does not deteriorate the quality of the cable sooner than later. My care shifts so smooth, when I first starting using it, I was using too much torch to move the shifter, freaked me out! It is worth replacing if you are thinking about it.

fits perfectly
install a little difficult due to placement of the mounts on the car but that has nothing to do with the replacement part, it went in as it should and worked perfectly as it should. no further problem with my shifting, now its nice and smooth as it should be. how ever dont believe the original ship date as mine was several days later then the original invoice said. shipper never apologized or made up for this error which cost me a lot of money so be prepared for it. if u have the time to wait then this will be perfect.

The thing you need
Yes, this is the thing you need to fix the "sticky" shifter on your 300M/Intrepid. It is worth fixing and you should do it sooner than later, because if your cable gets too sticky and you force the shifter too hard, the shifter itself will snap instead of the cable, and then you are making a trip to the junkyard along with buying this. It was a pain to install on jackstands in the driveway but totally do-able for moderately experienced home mechanics. Just a few poorly placed bolts that will make you swear as you try to find the right combination of u-joints and extensions to get that last one out. Took me about 5-6 hours but if you have are working in a well-equipped shop with a lift it will not take as long. Car shifts like new now, totally worth replacing (not that I had a choice)

... is no adjustment on the end of this cable like the oem cable
This worked for my Dodge Intrepid with column shift but there is no adjustment on the end of this cable like the oem cable. I ended up modifying the bracket it has to fit into to make this work because the cable is about an 1" to short.
