A great little portable play kit packed with activities :)
I picked this up because I thought it would fun to play with our four-year-old nephew, as well as something travel-friendly for him to busy himself with when we go out to eat with his parents that isn't a screen. Sometimes when he's really climbing the walls, cartoons are the best bet, but we're all conscious about finding alternative mental stimulation and hands-on/touch-grass stuff to engage him with. My nephew's favorite was probably “placing the magnets” where he has to find small objects and place them in the right blank spot on the board. But other games like bingo and make-a-face brought him enough entertainment to keep him focused. The pieces are fun, colorful, appealing, and easy for little maladroit fingers to manipulate. There’s still more exploration to do with the different games (it offers quite a few, which makes it a really good value in a small package) but overall I’d say it’s a great kit to develop attention, focus and creativity. Some practical improvements/suggestions: the puzzle has a misprint where the T-Rex has 3 eyes, confusing the kid on how the puzzle should be put together. The other thing is they provide only 3 baggies to keep all of the various magnets in so different games mix up and need to be sorted before play.

Wonderful teaching tool for many activities.
First Impressions This magnetic set comes in a sturdy tin that doubles as both the storage case and the play surface. The portability is a huge plus — it’s compact enough to toss in a bag for travel, car rides, or waiting rooms, yet it holds a surprising amount of pieces and activity cards. Design & Quality What really stood out to me right away is the thickness of the magnets. They’re not flimsy like some other magnetic play sets I’ve seen — these are solid and durable, which makes them perfect for little hands. Younger kids can easily pick them up, move them around, and reposition them without the frustration of paper-thin magnets sliding out of place. The printing on the pieces is colorful, clear, and engaging, and everything has a nice smooth finish. Educational & Play Value I love that the learning tasks range from simple to more complex. For younger kids, it’s as easy as matching shapes and making silly faces with the mix-and-match pieces. For older kids, the set includes activities like scavenger hunts, bingo, and creative storytelling. This makes it a toy that grows with the child rather than something they outgrow in a week. It balances structured play (with guided activity cards) and open-ended play (kids making up their own characters and scenes). Ease of Use & Storage The tin storage case is convenient and keeps everything organized. Since the magnets stick to the case itself, you don’t have to worry about losing pieces during play. Cleanup is quick and simple — just pop the pieces back in the tin. For parents and caregivers, this is a big win. Pros • Thick, sturdy magnets that are easy for small hands to grasp • Bright, engaging designs that invite creativity • Wide range of activities, from simple matching to more advanced games • Tin doubles as storage and play surface, making it very portable • Mix of structured and open-ended play keeps kids engaged longer Cons • With over 180 magnets, it can get messy if kids like to dump everything out at once • Some smaller pieces may not be ideal for households with very young toddlers (though it’s labeled 4+) Bottom Line The Chuckle & Roar Magnetic Create & Play set is a fantastic blend of fun, learning, and creativity. The thick magnets are perfect for little hands, the activities offer both easy and more challenging options, and the storage tin makes it an excellent on-the-go toy. It’s the kind of set that encourages kids to learn through play while also keeping them entertained for long stretches of time. A great buy for families looking for something educational, durable, and

Good for a child's memory, but has alot of small pieces
This is a good set to help with a child's memory, fine motor skills, and keep them busy. However, there are a lot of small pieces that isn't safe for children. The pieces are also at risk of getting lost easily, which makes it difficult to complete the activities included. I would be mindful of giving this as a gift or to children who tend to out things in their mouth. Other than that, it does help keep a kid busy and they are less likely to engage in excessive screen time.

Thoughtfully designed set to encourage creative play!
This set is really thoughtfully designed to encourage creative play for kids. It comes in a tin box with 8 sheets of magnets, 15 double-sided activity cards, a page of instructions and gameplay ideas, and 3 plastic bags to help organize the magnets. The magnets are thick and good quality, and I was able to pop all 180 out without tearing any (some might be a bit tricky for kids to pop out, but that’s part of the fun in my opinion). All of the images are adorable and kid friendly. The activity cards are full of fun activity ideas: cards provide a background for kids to make a scene on, heads kids can add faces to, scenes for placing magnets in certain spots, a puzzle, tic-tac-toe, bingo, counting games, and so on. My kids love this. They’re 5 and 3, so they are more interested in the simpler activities that don’t involve reading instructions, like make-a-scene or make-a-face, or in just doing whatever the heck they want with the magnets. I think the ideal age for this set would be about 4 to 10, but I think older kids would enjoy this too. My one bit of feedback is that the magnets are not strong enough to stick well to the tin container through the activity cards, as intended. That could get a bit frustrating when playing with them in the car or on the go, but isn’t a big deal in situations where you can easily keep the cards level. I love that the instructions say, “This travel set is all about play. We have some suggestions, but we encourage kiddos to let their creativity run wild and have fun!” That’s really what kids’ toys should be about—enabling kids to play however they want. I’m excited to use this on our road trip we have coming up. And if we lose pieces, that’s OK. The point is allowing our kids to play in healthy ways. Thank you to the creators of toys like this!
