kid loves, huge box! we love it. even after all mixed up, still cute rainbow color, lasts forever, does not get dry at all, its not like playdough at all. we play pretend kitchen and make food. we hide pretty ponies and rubber toys in it and then search. its styrofoam pellets in what feels like post it note goo that doesnt make a mess, playdough is so messy, this is not

Fun, not messy
Someone donated this to the public library where I am the children's librarian. The children like it a lot. It is simply teeny foam balls held together by some kind of sticky coating. Contrary to what some reviews say, I get no bad smell from it at all, and none of the children ever said anything about a smell. The advantage of this over play dough is that it is not messy. There is no residue on your hands or on the table. The disadvantage is that it can't be sculpted in as much detail as clay or play dough, and it doesn't hold its shape as well. We tried making a tunnel out of it for the train set, but the tunnel would not hold its shape. I think this is lots of fun, but does not really replace clay.
