Can't complain for the price
I'll begin by comparing these to the Steadtler Lumocolor non permanent pencils since they are in headline terms functionally equivalent. In comparison these are noticeably softer which is a mixed blessing, they write much better on slightly greasy or condensed surfaces but the point wears out in no time if abused to make the odd jotting on paper. The pencils appear round in cross section, but crucially for a practical pencil like this, they don't roll uncontrollably. I haven't been able to establish why exactly, whether they are slightly egged, off balance or slightly bent but they are actually a lot better behaved than most hexagonal pencils. The blue is actually quite a nice colour although it could be more opaque: if you write on a black object the text is difficult to read, but no worse than the Steadtlers. On balance then I would say that as a pencil it is as good as the Steadtler, but it's half the price. That has to be a win.
