Absolutely ideal for building maths skills
Had a few items from this brand now and I'm so pleased with this one. I've been struggling to find tools to help with my son's maths skills that are age appropriate but also go higher than the count of 20 (he has learning difficulties and requires extra help). With this set you get a lot of useful tools such as a 1-100 number board, counters, cubes, 2 soft dice, worksheets and wipe-clean cards with maths problems on that can be used with a dry marker (not supplied). The cubes are the linking sort which are unmarked so you can make up the values to whatever you want to help with various values in maths problems. The 1-100 board is great for number lines, adding, subtracting etc. and the worksheets are fantastic - I was really pleased that they were exactly the sort of level my son is currently working at and so are a fantastic additional resource. Really pleased with this set - combining it with others from the same brand, I've got quite a varied and incredibly useful set of resources now to help my son increase in confidence and ability. Really do recommend this.

Useful set of activities for revising
It seems compatible with the UK curriculum. The set comprises of numerous games and activities for a child to practise elementary math (at least at the beginning, supervised). Quite well made set, even if perhaps it would not be too hard to recreate the whole thing with a printer at home, with a bit of research and ingenuity. But as a ready set it is pretty good.

Fun maths set!
A lovely set to start your child on their maths journey. All the resources included encourage hands on activities to make maths fun and engaging. The included activity guide has lots of helpful ideas on how to use the set. I particularly like the double sided write and wipe cards and the ten frames which used along with the cubes and counters will help your child to understand their new maths skills in a fun, practical way. The 10 worksheets inc. are just printed in black and white on plain paper but are handy to use as masters for photocopying so you can use them again and again for growing families. A good set for young families wanting to learn and practise maths and build on what’s being learnt in early years at school.

Lacking the fun element - for both parents and children...
You get a lot of different bits in this set to complete various mini activities to help develop early math skills like counting, addition and subtraction. The set requires a fair amount of reading by a grown up figure out which bits correspond to which activities and then actually completing the tasks with your child. It’s straightforward enough but the whole process just felt laborious, like there’s just too many instructions squashed onto the page, for basic tasks (including step by step instructions on exactly what to do and say to your child...) and it’s all presented in a really dry, blocky fashion that feels a chore to work through. To compound matters, the actual activities themselves aren’t very visually stimulating and I can’t help feeling they could have been presented in a more creative way. I would add here that despite the age guide being 5+ on the box, many of the activities are simplistic enough that you could start doing them with a 3 year old; if you wait until age 5 to start, I fear the tasks may well be too easy to be beneficial (and less value for the money spent). Finally, I think the set has an overall very budget feel to it; lots of cardboard, black and white activity sheets on very thin paper and the numbers on the foam dice have already started to rub off. I know someone’s probably put a lot of effort into developing this set - and it's not all bad and there's substantive merit in the activities - but I do think there's room for improvement with this product; a bit of refinement to make it more user-friendly for parents and more engaging for children, perhaps with a fun puzzle-solving theme or characters.
