Adorable! But durability is not very good for long term
This is probably the cutest toddler costume I’ve seen. I was worried since it was a one size toddler it wouldn’t fit my 2 year old but I had no issues with fit. So far I’ve only tried it on her but I am worried about the wings because they are very very fragile and are only held together by Velcro and felt. It should be fine for one night and if it is I won’t change my 5 star rating. But Halloween is still a couple weeks away and I have to hide the costume and refit it into the bag so I’m still worried something will happen to the wings. We shall see....The flower crown also looks nothing like the picture. In fact I don’t even know if I would say they look like flowers but I still think the look comes together really well for the price so as I said I won’t change my 5 star rating unless something drastic happens to the pieces.

Great Costume!!
No it doesn't look exactly like the picture but it wasn't that far off. The detail on the wings was the best I have seen anywhere - and I have looked at lots! The flowers on the headband weren't exactly flowers but they looked great and the little tutu looked great! The wings are fragile and the bottom detached from the top as soon as she put them on but that was easily fixed by sewing them back together - took less than 5 minutes. I'm glad the negative reviews didn't put me off buying it because my little girl loved it and had the best costume at the party! Servcie was also very swift. Thank you!

I have to say that I am so super disappointed in this costume
I have to say that I am so super disappointed in this costume. Buyers that are reading this review: BEWARE! I bought this costume for my 3 year old daughter. She told me she wanted to be a butterfly and I thought she would look so pretty in this costume. I really don't know where to start with what is wrong with this costume, so I guess I will start at the top with the headpiece. It is a cheap piece of junk. It doesn't look anything like what is in the picture. And it was way to big. It falls right over her head and around her neck. The body suit piece seems nice and looks pretty on. I actually don't have a problem with that....yet. Then, there are the leg pieces, again cheaply made. But it is so cheap that the loop pieces are even sewn properly and the ribbon that you tie up just pulls the loops out. Literally 2 loops on each side have to be sewn again. And then there are the wings. The whole essence of being a butterfly. I wouldn't even let my daughter touch them. I TOOK THEM OUT OF THE PACKAGE AND ONE OF THE BOTTOM PIECES FELL OFF IMMEDIATELY!! To me, this is entirely unacceptable. You can't even blame it on the 3 year old because I am the one who took them out. I wouldn't waste your money or the time on this costume. I PAID to have a photographer take pictures of my kids in their Halloween costumes and you can totally see part of the wing is missing. I am so angry. But there was nothing I could do because she put the wings on in the photographer's studio. I probably won't return it, because she does love her costume and really wants to be a butterfly, so I will sew it all back together for her, but was not worth the money. Shame on the company for not having any pride in their work and for thinking it is ok to sell customers such garbage. I will never buy another costume made by Rubies. So disappointed and angry!!!

Adorable, but cheap-seeming quality
The costume fit perfectly for my almost 2yr old for being a very generic "toddler" size, and it was absolutely adorable, but had quite a few quality issues. My daughter wore it a couple different times in the same week for Halloween and we had to do repairs on it when we first got it, and after each use (and my daughter wasn't particularly hard on the costume either). The skirt had multicolored strings hanging off of each layer in multiple spots and the ribbon lining had already come unsewed in places prior to use. The ribbons on the bodice came unsewed in three different places where they connect to the sides of the V in the front and had to be reattached between each use, and the wings had an unfortunate felt patch on the front and back, I'm guessing to keep the sections together, but after being folded a couple times (they weren't able to be worn in a car seat so they had to be taken off between destinations for travel) it became very loose and we were worried it might come apart. Lastly, the leg lace-ups are a cute idea in the picture but I advise against them for similarly aged kids because they are quite difficult to get on a squirmy toddler and one already had knots in the ribbon before first use so that made it a little harder as well. It worked well enough for one Halloween but definitely wasn't usable afterward.

Cute dress
Reading previous reviewers I was hesitant to buy this costume. But my daughter really wanted to be a monarch butterfly. I decided to get it and I am not disappointed! The costume is well constructed. The head piece stayed on. TIP: The head piece is not meant to be worn as a halo. The flower part goes on top of the forehead and then it wraps around at the base of the head. Stays on - no problem. The wings are cheaply made, but did not break. I got 4-6 small size for my 3 year old and it fit her perfectly. My daughter wore it for 2 days with no problems. The only thing I didn't really like the bloomers are attached to the dress so if you little one needs to go to the bathroom they need to pull down the entire dress.

Well made beautiful costume
We loved every detail of it and it seemed well made.. my daughter wore it twice for close to half day each time, it held up well... she even went on a bounce house with this costume minus wings.. Wings are the best part of this costume, I was amazed at how close to real butterfly colors its made... my daughter wears 2t and we ordered toddler size, it fit her perfectly. Only downside is if she had to use restroom, we had to pull the whole dress down... other than that, it's a beautiful Halloween costume and highly recommend

It was delivered quickly and it's what i expected...very cute!! A size small fit my 3 year old perfectly (she just turned 3 and is on the taller side for her age). She still has room to grow in it a bit.
