This is a really cute costume. Well made (for a costume) with cute details (in the beads on the fringe, boot covers, hair accessories). We liked that it's more modest with the poncho over the dress. Because I had a hard time finding correct sizing I wanted to comment. On the package it states: X-small 4-6, Small 6-8, Medium 8-10, Large 10-12, X- Large 12-14. Because of other reviews I went with a Small and hoped it would fit my 8 year old daughter (who weighs 60lbs and wears a usual size 8). It fits her perfectly right now. We also have a daughter who is 6 (and weighs 52lbs and wears size 6) and the costume fits her great as well (just a little longer in length...but it still looks adorable and like it fits perfectly). There is a tie on the waist (which is nice so that you can pull it in and tie it in the the back). The boot covers do seem to shed (as mentioned in other reviews). But are a nice touch to slide over boots. Very happy with this purchase.

This costume was exactly what my daughter hoped for! It served her purposes well to dress up as Pocahontas on Halloween and to be a Native American girl at her school's "Plantation Stations Day" for Thanksgiving. She also loves it for dress-up around the house. It's neat that it is two pieces; when she gets hot, she can just take off the shawl & still have a cute sleeveless dress on. It is well made; it fits well w/room to spare (for healthy 8-1/2-year-old); and is super cute! Highly recommend!

My 5.5 year old has a school program, and this costume is perfect. It's exactly as pictured. I couldn't be happier. The material is somewhat thin, but for the price, it's great quality, and I know it will last well for her program and for playing dress-up later. It runs a little long, so err on the side of caution. My kiddo is extremely tall for her age and it fits like the photo.

Cute costume
My daughter used this for her school musical and it looked great. Pay close attention to the sizing chart, runs big. I got the 7/8 even though she is usually a 12 and it fit well (though I pinned the top a little)...this size was cheaper too. The costume is well made and light weight, but can easily be layered over other clothes if weather is an issue. I used brown leggings and a long sleeve brown t-shirt. I had no problem with the boot covers but I could see if you pulled too tight the strings might rip off. The fringe could have been more "fringy," but from a distance it looked great. I saw several other Native Amercian costumes from Amazon at the play and I thought this one looked the best. Some of the decorative effects from the other costumes looked cheap (like the one with the bird in the center, and the mo-hawk hair on the boy's costume. I made two side braids with her hair and the hair ties looked cute. Accomplished what is was meant to. My daughter was comfortable in it.

My girls had a 3rd grade “Wax Museum” project where they had to dress up as a person who made a difference in the world and then speak to an audience about their character. They were both Sacajawea and this costume was perfect!

Cute but low quality
Bought this for a school event. Was in a hurry so spent the steep price for poor quality. It did what we needed, but would not have purchased if we weren’t in a jam. Found bits of faux fur and fringe from the costume all over the place. The hair piece with the feather broke pretty quickly. It looked very cute on my daughter though. She got through her play and school event looking the part. It’s exactly what you would expect in an overpriced, low quality costume.

If you've ever been to the Halloween store you know that many of the costumes in the mega-Halloween warehouse are pretty much crap and meant to be worn for the few hours you can keep your paws off your wife/girlfriend/mother(if you're from Tennessee) in her sexy nurse/witch/police/schoolgirl outfit. This costume is the real deal. She wore it all day for 2 days of the project and it's in great shape. It has all the stuff you need to turn your little princess into Sacajawea or Pocahontas or any of the other characters who's stories are much more depressing in reality than your 3rd grade textbook let on. Sizing I'm not great with but I can say my 10 y/o is as tall as my 12 y/o and weighs 105 lbs. Large fit perfectly.

Great costume
Really nice costume for the price. Much better than the ones we could find locally that were twice the price. Dress is heavier than most costumes and also of softer material. The poncho is of the same material and sized nicely. The included lower leg coverings and hair pieces rounded out the costume nicely. My daughter says it is very comfortable. The only issue we had with it was some of the beads on the fringe pieces come off easily. The sizing was accurate for the large that I bought.

Absolutely beautiful costume. Nice fabric, well made. Only complaint would be the sizing. It was really big for a size small. Had to take it up around the middle about 3-4 inches and take in the neck of the poncho.
