My daughter wanted to put together a Wednesday Addams costume for a Halloween party and lobbied me hard to get her this dress. I was unwilling to invest that much into an item I thought would be used just once, but the reviews on this outfit convinced me to give it a try. They were right--this is not just some poorly made costume. It's made of thick velvet-like material and functions perfectly well as a normal dress. She made a convincing enough Wednesday Addams that night but later she wore it for a school dance without the Halloween-themed makeup and hair she used when she wore it as a costume. She looked very nice in it! The white collar and sleeve ends are not just tacked on flimsy material either. They are stitched on as well as those found on her other normal dresses. We found the size to be a tad larger than the chart in the listing said it would be, but it was close enough to work with and still allow her some room to grow.

I bought this for my child to make a Wednesday Addams costume. I did add white buttons to it, and it was perfect. It was a good price too. My child was very happy with her costume.
