Quite a few drawbacks
I have to confess to being a bit disappointed with this. I had been looking forward to a sexy goth dress which wafted with my movements and made me look pretty cool. What I got was - well OK. Perhaps the fact that the dress isn't shown on and actual person in the advertising section should have been a bit of a warning. There is nothing drastically wrong with it, but its downside is on display when you actually wear the dress...... It is not full length but is a few inches above the ankle; the underskirt stops above the knee and this is very visible beneath the flimsy over-material; the bare-shoulder look only works if the dropped shoulder sits neatly - these just hang; the gathered bit below the "corset" is rather bulky and not very flattering. I was wise to the variable sizings of clothes from outside of the UK and so ordered an "XL" even though I am a size 12 - so please be aware of this. XL was a good fit, so go two sizes up. To be fair, this dress is fine for a fancy dress and would look reasonably good with a bit of adjustment - for instance you can stitch the shoulders to the straps and do away with the cold-shoulder look and, if you want a more opaque look, you could add a length of underskirt. My dress, however, will probably go into the dressing-up box and stay there.

Decent enough but lacks presence
Ordered the dress for a themed event, and it’s a decent option if you’re on a budget. The material is quite lightweight, which makes it comfortable to wear but also gives it a flimsy feel. It’s not something I’d count on for long-term use or heavy wear. The design itself is simple, with a flattering waist band and loose sleeves. However, it doesn’t have the "wow factor" on its own. Adding accessories like a belt, headpiece, or jewellery is essential to elevate the overall look. Without them, it feels a bit plain for a Renaissance or cosplay theme. One thing I did appreciate is how easy it was to move around in. The fabric is breathable, so I didn’t feel overheated even after a few hours of wear. It’s also lightweight enough to pack easily if you’re travelling for an event. Overall, it’s a good base for a costume, but be prepared to spend a little extra on accessories to make it shine.
