Easy for older kids to do. Can make little gifts to share
This is a fun craft kit, and it's not as difficult as I thought it might be. The age range of 10+ is appropriate. My child was able to complete a few pieces with minimal help in reading the directions. This can be used to make a wall collage. My child thought they could make a few pieces to give to their friends, which I think is a sweet idea. The colors and designs are kid-friendly, upbeat, and appropriately themed. Some of the items require more creativity than others. But overall it's a do-able craft, with a low level of frustration.

I didnt realize there were multiple projects in it and limited supplies for finishing them all. Other than that its a neat thing for my girls.

Fun Creative Activity
I like to give my grandkids gifts that are educational and/or crafty. I would rather they do things that broaden then mind rather than just occupy them. This little kit has been a really nice project for them, and we have all enjoyed it. It comes with a variety of materials that can be used to create projects of their choice. Already they have learned a skill that they can use with other materials outside of the kit. This has been a great start to introducing string art to their creative thoughts and ability. That said, the kit itself comes with plenty of material to create several projects so making additional purchases is not required.

Easy and Fun!
My almost 9 year old daughter was looking for a new hobby. She loves art and crafts, so I thought this would be something unique and fun for her to try. She was super excited when it arrived in the mail and got started on the first design right away. She says they're very simple to do, yet they're not boring. She wants to give the picture frame one as a gift to her grandparents for Christmas, which I think is a wonderful idea. This is a great gift for anyone that loves to create art in new ways, and they make great gifts once they're made, too!

Value is in the artistic experience
The presentation of the packaging is a bit underwhelming and the material is of average quality. The instructions are nice with some pieces allowing full expression, while others are very detailed with specific outcomes. I like the variation. There will be mistakes and maybe a little bit of frustration and patience when working with the string and needles. Getting a firm stake with the needles and having a gentle touch is all that it requires. Some pieces are detailed and others more in the stick a picture to the wall type realm. This will entertain a tween for awhile and I would recommend the stated 10 and up. I feel the value is here in what you receive and can create and the time associated with creations. I will dock it one star for a bit underwhelming in the variation and vibrancy of the colors but the quality is as expected in the materials at this price point.

My Granddaughter Loves It
I received the CRAFT-TASTIC Wall Collage String Art; my granddaughter loves it. Enough said. I've gotten her 'string art' kits before, and she loves working with these. This set seems to be a bit more advanced than some others; more pieces/parts, more options, etc. But she is very artistic for a 9 year old, and she uses her imagination more so than instructions. I only hope she lets me take one of her works of art home so I can put it in a frame and hang it on my wall. My verdict: 5 stars. Anything that makes my granddaughter happy is always worth 5 stars!

better suited to an older teen or adult
My 10 year old granddaughter is very clever with many different types of kits. She does STEM robots, Legos, etc. and is able to follow the directions without much parental assistance. This string art kit proved to be too difficult for her, even with lots of adult help. The instructions were not easy to follow and were too detailed for a kid to figure out. Even with grandpa's help, identifying each part of the kit was not easy, and it became apparent that the "string art" part of the kit was only a small portion of what was provided, and that the string art was not your traditional stringing the string from nail to nail and getting a pattern that is recognizable. It is good that lots of extra things were included in the kit, and that the makers of the kit were allowing creative freedom, so maybe an older teen or adult would have fun with this kit.
