Beautiful Addition to the Collection
I passed on this doll at its original price point, but picked it up recently on sale--I am OBSESSED with Little Mermaid, so now I'm going back and buying things I previously decided I didn't need. I'm so glad I ended up getting her for my display, she's absolutely adorable. I bought a larger doll stand (one meant for something the size of an American Girl), and she is a perfect fit. The stand holds her right at her hips, resting just below the frill at the top of her tail. I actually hung her dinglehopper on the stand, right at her waist, and with her hand down at her side, it looks like she's holding it! Since she does not hold it properly on her own. The doll stand is enough to hold her upright and steady, and only a little bit of her cloth tail drags on the shelf. I highly recommend this method for any collectors looking to buy this one. She even sits at a slight angle that looks like she's swimming! As for the doll itself, she is beautiful when she lights up, and it's adorable to hear her talking. She's got quite a few phrases she cycles through, more than I was expecting. When she puts herself into sleep mode after a bit of no activity, she says goodbye, and that's adorable. Sound is super clear and loud. Her hair comes with some pieces twisted, but they will likely unfurl if a child plays with it, especially if it sees some bath time. I haven't used this in water to testify to its abilities there. Her tail is honestly so much more beautiful in person, and seeing all the different and stylistic representations of her tail is one of my favorite part of collecting these dolls. I'd say this doll has one of the best mermaid tails from the entire collection, and looks a great deal like in-movie. I also love that her eyes have sparkles in them, the way Beanie Boos have the sparkly eyes (but a little less cartoonish). Her top is also well-made with good details. The only two issues I've had is: the packaging was a nightmare. I'm a super-careful adult with a lot of experience in this sort of thing, and even I had to be ultra-careful I didn't cut anything off by mistake. Definitely don't let a child try to open this. It's dangerously over-packaged. The other issue is minor, but I absolutely cannot get her to turn off or come out of the "Try Me" mode the instruction manual mentioned. However, since she detects periods of inactivity and shuts herself into sleep mode, I can't imagine it would really be a problem.

Best Toddler Ariel doll Ever!!
I literally love this doll so much! I had a toddler Ariel doll when I was a little boy, and I just had to purchase this doll for myself!!! I hadn’t had a toddler Ariel doll in years and she is soo stunning and such a huge improvement! It doesn’t matter what race she is because I have always loved Ariel! With this doll make sure you read the instructions because you have to hold her hand (button) for 5 seconds or 10 seconds to activate the play feature. The play feature allows for the doll to sing more of the song and say more phrases.

My 2 year old LOVES her birthday present
The media could not be loaded. Amazing quality! You have to unscrew the tail and then attach it and rescrew it together. I’m just confused on what the button on her back is for because when you press it nothing happens. The button on her hand works fine. Still 5 stars for quality and how much my daughter loves it! I won’t be putting her in water like it says you can just from some of these reviews.

It’s great
Since seeing the movie I thought it would be a good idea to give this a Christmas gift for my niece and when I’m looking at the side of the doll box I noticed that it was just a little bit poorly taped, but other than that the doll looks perfect as if I had gotten it from a store.

Daughter Loves this toy. SHE sings more than what is displayed. Meaning she sings more of the song. I did not tell my lo that it can go in the water, so it stays dry. She has a zillion other bath toys and i just cant.
