I recently bought the acrylic dragon balls, so wanting to put those on display I figured "why not get a dragon for these?" way too much thinking and tough choices between Shenron and Porunga I was having a hard time choosing. Curious if they had other dragons like the one from GT, or some cooler variant of one of the others, I discovered this guy. The "Super Shenron" I almost immediately fell in love with it. (Not having seen him in the series yet, myself. Don't know if he's been summoned yet or not.) I thought: "This is the one, he'd look pretty bad ass" with what I had in mind. So, I bought him. Few days later, he arrives. I'm psyched. Un-boxing the guy.. Something seemed off. He seemed lopsided. His pieces were a pain to set up. Even put together. I'm still feeling this way. He seems lopsided, even worse.. His wings (arms?) Don't have the same position or look that they have in the displayed picture. Instead of his little talons seeming leveled, I got one that is pointing down, and one that almost seems to be pointing forward. Almost like he's shrugging at me and responding: "Sorry guy, you get what you paid for" (I don't know why he's got this dialect, but he's clearly taunting me) OR like he's had one too many drinks and is like: "shuh-shuddup! I'l tell you when I've had enough! Tell me your wish already.. Shenron needs to sleep his hangover off" So fun stuff you're probably looking for: Pieces: 8 1) Head 2) Arms (2) 3) Body 4) Support Rods (4) 5) Display - Head was probably the easiest to set up into his body. - The arms were the biggest pain to set up. Again, they're lopsided like hell for me. - His body, seems like he's also got some kind of lopsidedness going on there, I had to physically shift his body to fit the arms into their grooves, which did not feel too bright an idea, the body snaps then I'm just chucking him. No amount of super glue or whatever could fix him I'm thinking. Not sure if he got warped by the heat or something, but the one in the picture that you see when you first click this item. Looks so much straighter and like he's standing up straight and ready to grant whatever wish. - Support rods were fine, I don't really know much about these. Not much to comment on about them. They're pretty simple to set up, and he needs them, because his head is probably the heaviest part of him. - Display, also pretty easy to set up. Just fit his tail into the groove and he's looking good. He needs the support rods or he may face plant on you at random times. All in all, he's nice to look at. I'm not the biggest fan of dragons, the series brought me to him, and he felt like he was a good choice. But, maybe I just got the defective one of the batch. He wasn't too expensive, but I can't help but wonder if that's why I'm in this situation. I actually hoped or expected he'd have more of a metallic look to him. Heck, I was hoping he'd have been made out of some metal even. Yours may or may not be this bad, so hopefully you're not letting my review sway you from finding out for yourself whether you'll be pleased or let down with your purchase. I'm a tad disappointed, he's bound to be given the nickname: Super Scolio-Shrenron. Maybe Funko will release more shenrons, or maybe there will just be another version of this guy to come out in the future, I'd rather try to make this work than buy another.
