Buy it now!
This is the best toy I've ever purchased. I cannot recommend the big little feelings calm kit more!! I used it today and literally got my toddler from crying and throwing things to laughing and jumping in a few minutes! He was having a meltdown and I just sat and played the different calm down techniques - he did the deep breaths and then started doing the jumping technique (and laughing). Then we went together and drew our feelings. It helps so much bc I don't have to think about what to do when he's having a tantrum, I just play the thing and it tells us both what to do! It's amazing.

Great toy
My son really loves the songs in this toy. He is only 2 right now, but this toy will definitely grow with him when he started to understand emotions! It survived a fall down the stairs too. This toy is a very interesting concept

It’s fine but overpriced
Eh, I’m underwhelmed, especially for the price. It comes with three parts: 1. A board book about identifying feelings and coping mechanisms for when you feel mad/sad/etc. It’s a good book but I feel like we already have several books just like it 2. A spinning wheel which says random emotions/feelings or has songs about how it’s okay to be mad/sad. My 2.5 year old just keeps spinning it over and over again without actually listening to anything (and also driving us nuts with the noise) 3. A small sun stuffie to squeeze when you’re feeling mad. Cute but could have been any stuffie Oh and a small card with techniques for parents to help with tantrums Again, some cute stuff to help talk about feelings about it but doesn’t feel like anything unique and feels way overpriced

It really works!
This kit has made a huge difference for my three year old. When he’s having a meltdown we go in his room and use the feelings wheel and it really is helping him process his feelings better and he does calm down quicker! We love it! He really enjoys the book as well and squeezing the little sun has also proven helpful. It’s a win in our house!

Good start but might need some tweaks if they make a new version
It's a nice toy. Good sound quality. Only downsides is you need to pull the handle all the way to the bottom in order for the sound bite to start to speak (not pulling the full way does allow the arrow to SPIN though!). This might be an issue for some weaker or less coordinated children. There is no OFF/ON button if that's important to your home. Their is no volume buttons. My 1 yo and 5 yo love playing with it. Overall I like the toy and would gift it to others with 2.5+ year olds. Might even work well for Kindergarten classrooms!

It works!
I was a little bit skeptical about this kit at first. It seemed pretty basic and only comes with three items. A book, a toy, and a small sun plushie (to use like a stress ball). I wondered how these three items could possibly help change my kid's behavior and help them manage their big emotions, and I worried it wouldn't be enough. We've bought many other products to help our young children learn about their emotions and help them regulate - but we haven't had much luck. Despite my hesitation we decided to give this kit a try and see if it helped. To my utter astonishment, it has been working fabulously. My 5-year-old has struggled for almost his entire life with managing his strong emotions which can result in melt downs of epic proportions. After using this kit for the past few days he's actually *excited* to practice self-regulation techniques and use the items in this kit to help him calm down. He can now recognize when he's starting to get worked up and will take himself over to the "calm down corner" where we've placed these items and begin the process of calming down. He'll use the toy to get advice from the "little monster friend" on how to manage whatever emotions he's feeling. He'll squeeze the stress ball plushie, take deep breathes, and read the book about the monster who is feeling big emotions and calms himself down. As much as it surprises me to admit it, this kit has worked wonders in just a few days with my child and made larger strides with him than I have as a parent in trying to work with him for the past few years. Though this kit didn't magically solve all our problems, and there's still a long road ahead, it has definitely helped us in taking a huge step forward in recognizing, identifying, and regulating emotions when things don't go our way. The thing to remember with this kit is that it's not just about the toys. As the parent, it's important to practice what these things are teaching your child too and reinforce those things. Use the online resources that come with it to help your child and read the book with them so that you can help them when they need it. Support them and tell them that it's okay to feel their emotions and to let them out instead of trying to shut them down. Using those techniques alongside the items in this kit is a very powerful tool for your child to learn and acquire important social and emotional skills as they get older.

Disappointed
I pre-ordered mine and it came dirty which makes no sense if it's new and the sticker was getting ready to peel off. What's more, it only identifies the last feeling/coping mechanism that it landed on previously to you pulling the lever. No phrases, no songs. It makes no sense. The description is inaccurate. I'm going to order a replacement to see if it's any better because I'm super disappointed and hoping that it was a one-off.
