Wooden Toys Are the Best
I got this wonderfully made wooden puzzle specifically for my almost 3 yr old grandson. I like to have nice little puzzles and books waiting for my grandkids in the guestroom when they visit and this one will be an awesome addition to those. It is so nicely designed and finished… it is an attractive little decoration, too. I certainly prefer well made wooden toys and puzzles for this purpose and think they are a nice tactile break from all that plastic! I have often found adults playing with them! The nicely painted (not too bright) pieces in this set are contained in a well-finished triangular frame which is perfect, too. This is a winner!

Great puzzle
This Montessori triangle puzzle is well-made and serves as an excellent tool for teaching kids about shapes and problem-solving. Its simple design encourages children to think critically; if a piece doesn't fit one way, they learn to try another approach. While it may look basic, it presents the right level of challenge to engage young minds, helping them feel proud of their accomplishments when they successfully solve the puzzle. Overall, it's a fantastic educational toy that promotes cognitive development in a fun way.

Better for younger kids
This toy is pretty simplistic - the fitting the triangles together puzzle is better for a 1-2 year old toddler, vs the 3+ age recommendation on the product. It does provide a way to start working math/geometry language into everyday use, which is nice, especially if you don't have other toys with different types of triangles. The play tip (see photo) to use the triangles to create designs is pretty clever and is a good way to extend the use of this toy for preschoolers. Ultimately I think we get a bit more out of our magnetic tile set for geometry education, but we'll be able to find uses for this too I think.

Good quality
This puzzle is deceptive in it's simpicity. It's very attractive and I like that it's wooden instead of plastic. It's very durable. This is a nice toy to have out- I think probably the ideal age for it is about 3 years old. I've always loved fisher price toys and it's nice to see them expand their offeriings.

Versatile item that caters to both young and older children
This item has been a great addition to your home. Pros: - This really helps teach children that triangles can form other triangles. It helps learn while playing. - Each of the multiple triangle sets is a different color which helps children visually differentiate them. - On one side the triangle is of a solid color. On the other, it has dots that helps match the different parts together. This has been incredibly useful to cater to different ages. My 4yo uses it without the dots clues and can quite fast figure out how everything goes together. My 2yo needs help and thus uses the dots as a guide. - The pieces are well covered in the paint and they have shown themselves durable. - It is of a great size. Even the smallest piece fits well within the hands and I am not afraid of my child swaling it. It also seems possible to carry it around without any issues. Cons: - Didn't really seem any. Overall, I am super happy with this and at how it caters to both of my children.

Great Montessori Toy
This Montessori triangle puzzle is such a well-designed learning toy for preschoolers. The wooden pieces are smooth, durable, and painted with non-toxic, water-based colors, so I feel confident letting my child handle them. The decorative dots are a clever feature — they help guide kids as they explore different ways to build triangles, which makes it both approachable and challenging at the same time. It’s a great way to introduce early geometry concepts while keeping play fun and hands-on. I also love that it includes expert play tips from the Fisher-Price Play Lab, which give parents new ways to use the toy for learning. The storage tray keeps all 10 pieces neatly organized, and the fact that it’s FSC-certified wood makes it an eco-friendly choice too. My child enjoys experimenting with the shapes, and I can see their problem-solving skills improving. Awarded the AMS Montessori Seal of Excellence, this puzzle feels like both a fun toy and a quality educational tool — well worth the price.

Quality toys still exist!
I love that Fisher Price (which I had as a small child fifty some years ago) is still making wooden toys. Mine were wood, and my mom saved them for my and my sisters kids. Some were a little the worse for wear, but they were intact, and they were better toys, especially at encouraging imagination, than a lot of what is made these days. These will provide a conceptual background for triangles and fractions both. These will be best used by kids with parental interaction side by side for explaining and helping. I think it’s important to note that this probably isn’t going to be a toy that you plunk your child in front of and they’re happily entranced for a period of time. But it’s educational, and what you get out of it is going to be directly related to the effort and attention you put into it. I’m pleased with how they look, how they play, and how long I think they’re going to last. I can see this set being passed amongst cousins and on to the next generation.
