Great teaching aid for preschoolers.
This covers a lot of bases. Relating their own hands to math with given problem 2 ways and pegs to bring it home. Worked nicely with my 4 year old grandson.

Dieses Montessori-Spielzeug verwandelt abstrakte Zahlen in greifbare Lernerfahrungen. Meine Kinder haben endlich Spaß an den ersten Rechenaufgaben, statt gelangweilt wegzuschauen. Durchdachtes 3-in-1-Konzept Das Set bietet drei verschiedene Lernansätze: Die Filzpalme zum Fingerrechnen, die Rückseite zum Zahlen schreiben üben und die bunten Holzstäbchen zum visuellen Rechnen. Jede Methode spricht andere Lerntypen an - perfekt, wenn man nicht weiß, wie das eigene Kind am besten lernt. Qualität stimmt Die Holzverarbeitung ist sauber - keine scharfen Kanten oder Splitter. Die Oberflächen sind glatt geschliffen und die einzelnen Teile robust genug für den Alltag mit Kindern. Die Zahlenblöcke liegen gut in kleinen Händen und die Stäbchen haben die richtige Größe. Lernen wird zum Spiel Besonders clever ist die intuitive Herangehensweise. Statt stupide Zahlen auswendig zu lernen, können die Kinder mit den Stäbchen tatsächlich "sehen", was 3+2 bedeutet. Die Finger-Methode auf der Filzseite hilft beim Verstehen von Mengen, während das Schreiben die Motorik trainiert. Altersgerecht für Vorschulkinder Für 3-6 Jahre ist die Komplexität genau richtig dosiert. Dreijährige fangen mit dem Zählen der Stäbchen an, während Fünfjährige schon kleine Gleichungen lösen können. Das Spielzeug wächst praktisch mit. Montessori-Prinzip funktioniert Das selbstständige Entdecken klappt wirklich gut. Die Kinder probieren verschiedene Kombinationen aus und entwickeln ein natürliches Zahlenverständnis. Viel besser als trockene Arbeitsblätter. Ein tolles Lernspielzeug, das Mathematik von der ersten Minute an positiv vermittelt. Wer seinen Kindern den Einstieg in die Welt der Zahlen erleichtern möchte, macht hier nichts falsch.

Good for the basics
This is a cute toy that’s good for the basics but could use some improvements. For instance, I like the area to trace the numbers but the arrows tend to leave kids hanging or confused. The 8 only showed where to start but no other direction. Young kids new to writing their numbers would need additional guidance on that. It’s a good size for kids but some of the pegs are small for little hands to grasp. The board is plain but the pegs and hands add a pop of color. I felt like the fabric hands were a bit stiff and not easy to rotate on the board but the Velcro was strong. For $16 it’s an okay value for the money to add an educational toy to the rotation.

Schönes erstes Rechenboard
Im Kindergarten wird gerade fleißig gerechnet und Zahlen geübt. Daher kam uns das Rechenspielzeug gerade recht. Mir gefiel wie modulär es aufgebaut ist. Es gibt Karten mit Aufgaben darauf, diese können an den Händen abgezählt werden, oder mit Stäbchen gesteckt oder mit den Zahlen gelegt werden. Es ist super vielfältig und somit beschäftige sich unser Großer auch lange damit. Am besten kam jedoch die Schreibübung bei ihm an. Ich kann das Produkt auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen, wenn man ein sinnvolles Zahlen Lernspielzeug aus Holz sucht.

Very Creative Toy for Teaching Simple Addition Concepts
We are using this toy with a 4 1/2 year old child. This is a really nice way to work with him on learning addition. He already knows his numbers and we have done simple addition and subtraction problems with everyday objects, like blocks, but this toy seems to be a much better way of working on learning math concepts. I really like that this toy features multiple ways of approaching problems. As you can see in the pictures, one method is using fingers to solve problems. At the end of each fingertip is a small piece of Velcro that you can use to put a finger down, or by pulling gently on it, have the finger go back up to its normal position. You can use the numbered blocks to come up with your own problems and then have the child move fingers up or down to match the numbers on the blocks. Then, the child can count the number of raised fingers to determine the answer to the question. Alternately, there are also several cards with math problems printed on them. Using those cards, the child can again move the fingers up or down to match the numbers on the cards. Alternately, there are pegs available that the child can arrange to match the problem and then calculate the result. Having a couple of different ways to approach problems does seem to help keep the child interested a little bit longer. On the back of the board with the hands is a stencil for helping kids learn to write out numbers. The set includes a stylus that the child can use to trace each number so that they get a feel for how to write each number. At this point, I have not tried that with our child to see how he does. His fine motor skills are not good enough yet for him to be interested in writing. For me, this feature of the toy is just not very important, but I suppose it is a nice bonus.
