Make sure your hands are not tanned
Dont buy these if your hands are tanned. Its summer so my hands are darker. This product sticks out like a sore thumb....hahahahaha I know im funny. But its true. I won't be able to use this till winter. Other than its colour its fine

Not perfect, but good enough that a skilled magician could fool people with it.
As a magician that has been performing for over 25 years, I was curious to see what one gets when one buys thumb tips for a little over a buck each. Generally, one only needs one thumb tip so I wasn't sure why one would want to buy a pack of five of them but still at this price, there's not a lot to lose. (And if you lose a thumb tip, you'll have spares. So, as I said, overall, these are pretty good. Not perfect by any means, but good enough that I could fool a lot of people with these. Good enough to do the job. Most of the thumb tips in my drawer are hard plastic and these are soft. Most of the time, it doesn't really matter whether one uses a hard or soft tip, but be aware these are soft and a bit squishy. Where they fall short of perfect is as follows: 1) they are very big. I have big hands so this is not a problem for me, but if you have small hands, these might not work as well for you. 2) they are really big. I've included a photo of one of these thumb tips (left) next to the thumb tip I normally perform with and these are bigger. But this could be a plus if you need the space for a larger load. 3) The color is on the light side. My hands are tanned and a darker tip is a better match. 4) The plastic is shiny. Skin isn't shiny. A thumb tip should not be shiny. One comment though, on the lightness and shininess. It turns out that these things is not nearly as important as one (particularly a beginner in magic) might think it is. I once had a friend and mentor perform a salt pour trick in front of a room full of magicians. When he was done, he asked everyone "Did you notice anything?" No one had could come up with anything that seemed out of place. And my friend then stuck out his thumb with the thumb tip on it. It was painted BRIGHT ORANGE! Nobody in a room full of magicians who knew how the trick worked had noticed something seemingly so obvious! Learn the techniques of handling a thumb tip properly and it won't matter whether the thumb tip is shiny and doesn't match your skin tone perfectly. (Of course, the opposite is also true. If you don't know how to handle a thumb tip properly, it won't matter if it is a perfect match. It will still stick out like a sore thumb.) I will also comment on the silk that comes with these. It's small and silly. It looks like something that is deliberately small so that it is easily hidden. It won't impress anyone. It's also very stiff and frankly doesn't work very well. Obviously, at this price point, things are really cheap. Quality matters with silks. When trying out these thumb tips, I used a silk that is 4 times the area and it fit into the thumb tip just fine. Usually, I use a two foot long silk ribbon. Either of these will be much more impressive when you make them appear and disappear. Last point: these do not come with any instructions. You'll need to find your own instruction on the best ways to use these (or any) thumbtips. I recommend finding a friend who can teach and give feedback.

Price matches quality
Thumbs are HUGE, even for a man. They’re low quality plastic. For the price, it’s an accurate product but if you’re actually trying to do some beginner magic, aim a bit higher in the quality. The red cloth isnt silk, feels more like a nylon so it’s kinda stiff and makes the trick a bit more obvious.
