has very good quality, works well, and is safe to use even for very young children. It’s creative, helps kids think, and makes it easy to match and play with the game. Overall, I really like it and think the quality is excellent. It would be even better if they added a small LED light to make it look even more attractive Has good value base on price and has acceptable battery life and speed of it is good too.

Unique set, excellent quality!
This is a really neat and unique wooden train set. It’s very creative and has lots of neat pieces to allow for lots of open ended play. The pieces, both plastic and wood, are good quality and very durable. My kids were able to set up and assemble this all on their own just by looking at the picture on the box. It’s a good size without being overwhelming. My reason for taking off a star is that this set is expensive. There are certainly more affordable train sets out there. This one however, is very unique and good quality. The pieces fit together with other brands of wooden tracks, so it would also be a great addition to any wooden train collection.

Excellent quality wooden toy train set
Hape is builder of quality toys for kids and this one is definitely not an exception. It's a wooden train set theme around Mars. It has a lot of pieces and you can make an interesting track design with this. Very easy to put together, I would say the easiest way is to treat this like a puzzle and work with your kids to figure it out. It's very quick to put together. The habitat and space themed vehicles make this a fun and entertaining toy. It's also using the same interfaces as other wooden and also Takara Tomy tracks. You will need some adapters for that which you can buy or 3dprint yourself. So if you happen to have a Tomy train, it'll work too. At this price point it's a more expensive toy but with the quality of this toy (meaning it will last for a good long while and probably enough to be handed down), this is a value priced toy.

Love the unique theme!
I'm a huge fan of the Hape brand, and have been using their toys with all my little ones for many years. They've never really let me down, so when I saw this train set, I knew it would be an excellent birthday gift for my little one. She loves all things outer space, and especially Mars for some reason. Our current train set is kind of a mish mash of like 4 different brands, and that makes it a bit difficult for everything to go together seamlessly. I decided it was time to get a complete set, and I had never seen a space themed train set before so I thought that was super cool. Setting everything was up was pretty simple, but I did have some family members helping so I could do it pretty quickly. The wood tracks themselves seem pretty durable, basically what I've come to love and expect from Hape. It looks just like the photo, but even cooler in real life with all the different lights and sounds. I think I was having just as much fun as my little one playing with this. This set is decently sized, so if you don't have a train table, you will need a big tote to fit this. For the price point, I do think it is a super cool set and has a unique theme. I think there definitely could've been an automated train added to make it seem more like a rocket ship, and just to further elevate the toy and play. I think that would've made the value even more impressive. Overall, we really enjoyed this and it was a huge hit with my little one.

Make sure it's right for you.
The set arrived exactly as shown in the pictures, and everything in the box was in perfect condition—nothing was broken, dented, or chipped. The packaging was nicely branded and presented, which I appreciate because I have a soft spot for manufacturers who confidently stamp their brand on both the product and its packaging. This is how all quality items should be presented. If you’re like me, these details matter, especially if you’re considering purchasing it as a gift. A plain plastic bag or blank cardboard box just wouldn’t do. Some manufacturers fail to understand the importance of excellent packaging to ensure that products arrive in perfect condition; if they did, they would invest more in packaging and presentation. Now, with that disclosure out of the way, I bought this for my 7-year-old son, who has always wanted something like this. It was a great opportunity to check that off his list. So far, he has enjoyed receiving and building it, but he hasn't really played with it much since then just the 1st couple of days then maybe once every 10 days or more. The set runs on 3 AAA batteries, which I believe should have been included for the price of $114. These batteries are for the sound effects that activate when using the landing strip, pumping gas, and opening one of the doors. Overall, the set looks nice and appears to be very durable. It is a good product but just make sure your kids are really interested in these types of sets.

Awesome space themed train set
We have been collecting trains since my son fell in love at 2 years old and he and his brother absolutely love this hape mars space themed set. It is beautiful and is of comparable quality to Brio train sets in quality and design. My one gripe about this set is it had a lot of stickers and did not contain any instructions for where to place the stickers. Very nice train set. If you have a space loving toddler, have no fear that this is an excellent way to go for a train set.

A very cool train set for my train and outer space obsessed kiddos
My sons (ages 8 and 4) love trains, and we have an extensive collection of wooden Thomas and Hape sets. My oldest loves anything outer space, and I love how the boys plays trains together for hours at a time, so I ordered this set as a surprise for them. It definitely took a little bit of assembly, and in the end we didn't use all of the very many tiny stickers that it came with. The finished product is very cool to play with, and parts light up and make noise (as long as you have batteries). The only downside for me is all of the plastic parts, which are also harder to connect together. My 4-year-old can't connect the plastic ones without help, but he can connect any wooden pieces no problem. This set is definitely a bit expensive, and a bit complicated to build, but if you have train and outer space loving kiddos like mine, than I think it's well worth the value.

Bellissimo
Aspettative soddisfatte. Unica pecca: nessuna delle motrici è a batteria, ma sono tutte a trazione manuale. Visto il costo, mi sarei aspettata il massimo.
