Its steadfast load-bearing capacity and unparalleled trekking ability make it the preferred beast of burden for the Oma merchant caravans. While tortoises might typically be associated with a slow and cumbersome demeanor, the Trekking Tortoise is no ordinary tortoise. It is, in fact, an "Embedded Beast," a hybrid creature that combines physiological traits from various species. Within its body lies an energy organ known as the "Insect Lamp," which can convert the energy of blue crystal minerals. This allows the tortoise's plastron to resonate with the blue crystal particles mixed in the desert sands, creating a repulsive effect that enables the tortoise to glide forward at a speed suitable for caravan travel. ew creatures or vehicles can match the Trekking Tortoise's trekking and survival capabilities, making it a challenge to protect the tortoise caravans. This led to the idea of using tortoises to guard tortoises, sparking extensive discussion within the guild. The decision was made to mount harpoon launchers and machine guns on the tortoise's back, creating a destroyer version of the Trekking Tortoise to fend off other Embedded Beasts and sand pirates. This version carries a rider and a weapons operator and is equipped with Y-cans (blue crystal energy cans) and spare weapon boxes, becoming the "Trekking Tortoise Destroyer," a caravan bodyguard.
