Not as described!
You could not mix and match the balls. They only fit together one way. Have blue and half red but you could not make an all red or an all blue ball as pictured. They dough that came with it was hard as a rock and crystallized.

Poor qualitY clay and too small and few clay. Pls
Ball has different texture outside. Red ball has spots. Blue ball has round shapes. The balls can be unscrewed and change the other half with the other half of the ball. Red-blue, red-red, blue-blue. The hollow ball is also good to place the clay for safekeeping. I don’t have problem with the balls. My issue is the clay. It doesn’t stick so well. Its not moist like playdough. Actually its so dry that it cracks badly!!! I suggest get a a different clay if you want your kid to enjoy playing. Definitely clay is very good in sensory. It clams kids with autism. I have a 5 year old boy that has autism. Like ive Said earlier, i like the balls But not the clay that comes with it. For $10.99, im not happy with the quality of the clay. With that said, i have to buy s different clay and it will costs me More $$$ because the clay that came With it is junk.

Fun for what it is
This is just what it appears to be. Some 'play-doh' like clay and a pair of textured rollers to create patterns in it. The quality of all the materials is good, the clay has a scent to it that is not offensive. I've tried it a few times now, with and without kids involved. I'm not sure how much it holds their interest after the first go of it. They haven't be asking me to bring it out again. So, IME, it has somewhat limited child appeal. There are only 2 texture balls, though they can be put together to make a single ball of mixed texture. I think more texture balls would have made it more fun to play with. The same goes for the clay. There are only three colors. Maybe there are other sets with other texture balls and colors of clay available? If so I haven't seen them. It has occured to me that there are other uses for the textures, such as rolling them on polymer clay or project foam, or using as rolling stamps with paint to create more permanent decoration effects. But as presented I'm not sure I'd give this as a gift to a child unless I knew they were into arts and crafts and might find wider uses for the contents. There's nothing at all wrong with the materials, just that I think the idea is a bit limited in its appeal.

Worth it for sensory exposure.
Since the dough does not ever last us long, we always try to maximize value with the sets. The sensory aspect of this really makes it all worth it. The dough wasn't enough for our uses so we replaced it with our own. Despite this, I feel it is very much worth it for the excellent sensory experience. Our children love it! 5 stars!

Dried playdough
Love the pattern balls that come with this set. It you purchase...might want to buy your own play dough..ours were hard as a rock.

The rolling balls are very tough
This is great concept. Love the idea. Colors are bright and vibrant. I just found that the rolling balls are very tough to handle. They aren't squishy and easy to maneuver with. We found them difficult to grasp and manage.

Middle of the Road Dough/Sensory Set
The balls are the hero of this set, they are nothing special, but they work well and are a fun addition to a dough rolling set. I don't think they would entertain a child by themselves though, you likely need additional molds, cutters, and rollers to really have fun with them. As others have noted, the dough is very small, and dry, so it's not the best dough and there isn't a lot of it. At the end of the day, it's a sub $10 set with nice retail-looking packaging, but I would not recommend this as your only sensory dough set, though it could be a nice addition to an existing or growing collection.
