Great to have races with.
I bought these for me and my granddaughter to play with and had an absolute great time. We raced and chased each other for more than a few hrs. She still has a great time every time she takes it outside. Only thing that needs to be changed is the tail fin. It breaks off too easy.

Buy. Unbox. Play!
These required no setup whatsoever - they came out of the package with enough power in the internal rechargeable batteries that my kids were able to take them out of the package and get straight to playing. They also operate such that both can be driven simultaneously without any pairing/setup. The cars are small and controllable enough to be played with indoors without crashing into everything, but still fast and maneuverable enough to keep kids' interest, which is more than I can say for a lot of R/C toys we've tried. The cars also had no problems going over carpet, hardwood, and tile floors. I absolutely LOVE the integrated USB-rechargeable batteries in these cars. Instead of constantly replacing expensive AA's or going through the motions to remove the battery/find the charging cradle/charge the battery, these simply have a USB-A cable underneath the car in a little latched compartment. To charge, just open the compartment, pull out the cable, and connect it to any USB-A charging receptacle you happen to have laying around. As an added bonus, both cars came with batteries pre-installed in the remotes to allow for instant play. I'd buy these again in a heartbeat - they suffer from zero of the issues that have led so many of our previous R/C cars to an early retirement in the trash - no slow charging, burn through batteries rapidly, crappy controls, finicky pairing process when playing with two cars at the same time, etc.

Best remote control cars ever
So nice, I bought it twice! I love the USB chargable wires instead of batteries for the cars. They turn well and can be raced against each other.

Fun for everyone!
My son got this as a gift for Christmas. Crazy how far cheaper RC has come since my day. 2 vehicles for $50, that have decent speed and a good runtime? Sign me up. Update: still fun but charged for quite a while and but was dead after. Initially had a long runtime. Tried charging again after watching video that says red light would appear after done charging (approx 90 min) but light never appeared. Reduce to 4 stars. Also will come back depending on how long these vehicles actually last. 2ND UPDATE: I said I'd revisit if I find out anything about durability. Well, that was only 3hrs ago and after "charging", these things don't last longer than 3 minutes. Maybe the manufacturer was incorrect on how to charge so I will try charging with power button on. What do we have to lose as they will more likely be found in the trash (didn't get a gift receipt unfortunately from the gifter)? They were definitely fun for the 5 times we were able to enjoy them but with that said, $50+ is still decent money so the quality should still be better than playing only what I can count on one hand. "Hopefully" this is the lone defect though I doubt it. I would normally just 1 star a bad product, but these things were fun, just terrible build quality. FINAL UPDATE: It does charge. Kinda embarrassing for the manufacturer not to know exactly how to charge this vehicle, but it needs to be powered on for it to charge (not off if you've seen the video). Red light will blink and then stop once fully charged. QC for Jada Toys / HyperChargers RC need to pay closer attention. In the video it says to turn off and then charge, but fail tell you to turn it back on to charge (in video you can even see it is in the "on" position. *eyeroll* Jada Toys, if you guys need help let me know. :). Back to 4 stars as it's not a perfect and the agitation of the lack of QC and having to figure this out on my own makes this not 5 stars. Again, let's see if this lasts and I don't need to come back for the zillionth update.
