Unfortunately
The brush came completely bent over, inside the plastic. Because it was crimped right where the ferrule starts, it was difficult to even get the plastic off. I’ve tried for 3 days, with a brush “glue” I use on my natural Chinese brushes, to try and train it to go straight, or at least be usable. So far, it’s not working. I have a painting with small detail that I bought this brush to use it; another artist recommended it. I’d purchased a smaller one, but it was just too tiny for what I needed. I’m on a timeline to finish before my Uncle’s 90’th birthday; so I went ahead and bought another one yesterday and I’m hoping it gets here soon. In the meantime, after washing out the mingjiao this morning and seeing that it hadn’t worked, that’s the photo I submitted-I’m going to reglue it again, and I put it between some q-tips, taped then to the handle, and I’ll leave it for more than 3 days, but it doesn’t appear like it will ever straighten out. Just so you know-it was wrapped in bubble wrap already crimped completely over; this wasn’t something that happened in shipping.
