Rubber band Flying model Stearman PT-17
Kit contains full size plans, balsa sheets are plainly marked and die cut, instructions are easy to follow. This particular kit does not have the parts included for making it a U-Control. It is for making a free-flight rubber band flying model. Needed is hobby knife to separate balsa and plastic parts, glue to secure balsa parts and attach paper covering and plastic glue for assembling pilot and motor pieces and plastic paints and various acrylic paints. A very worthwhile kit to build and fly.

This was a good sanity project for when I was laid up and couldn't work. Would like to see them go to laser cutting the old die cutting doesn't give a clean cut.

Do Not Purchase This Item!
My husband purchased this item and all plastic parts are missing. I called the seller and left a message to call me. Did NOT return my call. I contacted Amazon who was unable to contact seller. I wrote a letter to the company detailing the missing items. NO response. Tried calling again after about two weeks, still NO call back. This is a very complicated item to assemble. NOT for someone who has never assembled a model airplane. NOT all instructions are suitable for this kit. My husband was a design engineer and has problems with these instructions. We would NOT recommend this item! Especially for the cost and missing parts

Not too bad but . . .
Les instructions sont relativement claires et précises. Les pièces en balsa sont parfois imprécises (''die cut'' et non pas ''laser cut''. ) Certaines pièces en plastique mince ne sont pas enlignables correctement. Les cylindres du moteur sont de tailles différentes et en fait, ce moteur manque totalement de réalisme. Sinon, un bon passe-temps à assembler mais il ne faut pas s'attendre à finir avec un modèle d'exposition.
