Web Instructions are the way to go!
The print instructions aren't bad by any means, but it was a little challenging to figure out which rod to use where given they're all the same color. There was a small piece of paper tucked in the book that provides a link for troubleshooting. I took a look-it sends you to a video that does a good overview of building the model and making it work well. More importantly, in the video description there's another link for updated web instructions that include extra letters and numbers that really spell out what to use where in each step. I had the instructions up on my laptop and printed out the slip sheet to organize the different rods-worked like a charm! Great build, lots of fun, and a good amount of support material-would definitely recommend to anyone young or old that likes to build or tinker!

K'NEX is now in the marble game!
The media could not be loaded. I've always been a fan on K'NEX since the 90s and loved the original ball factory. This new marble coaster set really does a good job continuing that legacy of fun, educational building sets. It does have a motor, it's built from all classic K'NEX, and introduces new marble parts and pieces which are super cool and fun! I really hope K'NEX turns this into a line like their micro coasters-would be really cool to collect and combine into a giant marble coaster run or make a marble coaster run amusement park!

Pretty awesome!
My son is pretty happy with this. Down falls to this is none of the pieces are labeled or in separate bags, and the manual to build have to be studied in order to attach the right size pieces and in the right locations, and there are a lot of pieces!! This is about a 4-6 hour set up, takes a lot of patience! The age appropriateness I would say is much more advance then an 8 year old level. One of the most difficult I have built out of several!

Great set to build
I got this for my son and couldn't be happier. He plays with it for hours. The different builds are challenging but easy enough for him to do it without any help. He loves all 3 stages. Highly recommend this set.

Not worth the money
I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. She and my husband spent almost the entire day building it because of the terrible, poorly written instructions. Once built, nothing lines up right and the marbles fall through 95% of the time! The tracks are just barely off but it’s enough to make the marbles fall straight through instead of going onto the next track. The little teeter-totter things tilt willy-nilly and, again, the marbles go wherever. The kids still play with it but it’s super frustrating.

Frustrating
Parts quality seems top notch however, parts are not numbered. There are multiple size white sticks and they only put a picture of the stick required which is confusing most of the time. The picture quality of the instructions is poor making it difficult to determine specific placement of parts. Once completely assembled to the absolute best of our ability following the inadequate instructions, hardly anything lined up correctly and any amount of adjustment attempted ended in release of parts. The chain is constantly catching on the feed ramp, the chutes don’t aligned with the drop ramps, etc etc. Gave 2 stars simply because the parts all fit together well and are good quality. Not a fan. Will not buy again. For this amount of money, I expected a better product. My kid is also very disappointed given it was a gift for him. Do better Kinex.

Hands in learning toys

Hours of entertainment
Bought for my 9 yr old nephew and he loves this. Almost educational too in how it gets him thinking and creating!

Difficile à assembler
Cadeau offert à mon petit-fils. Très content, il aime beaucoup ce jeu même avec l'aide de ses parents ils n'ont pas réussis à l'assembler correctement pour que ça fonctionne. Malgré les instructions pas très claires et des vidéos. C'est désolant car très cher.

Horrible product
This product is horrible. I would give this 0 stars if it would let me. I bought it for my son as a present. He is 11 and very talented at building stuff. He built the whole thing but couldn't get it to work so we took the whole thing apart and tried building it together. I thought maybe he had made a mistake along the way. But now I realize he had not. After rebuilding it together, it still doesn't work. The hooks fall off the track everytime they go around. Marbles fall off the rails before reaching the end. My son is hugely disappointed. I feel like we wasted our money. FYI, I have written 1 or maybe 2 reviews on anything in my life. But this toy is so bad I had to write a review.
