Very realistic newborn baby doll
My granddaughter has been sighing over "reborn" baby dolls but the price tags are hefty! I found this doll and the Asian girl doll (on this same page) and bought both. They are even more adorable than in the pictures! These dolls are anatomically correct (the male doll is uncircumcised) and have all of the folds and creases that you'd see on a real, newborn baby. The entire doll is made of vinyl - no cloth body - so it's a sturdy doll and can handle being "loved" by a young child. The vinyl is not soft and squishy, though. It's fairly hard but the shape is such that it's easy to cuddle. All of the hair and features are painted on. The arms and legs and head can be turned. The eyes do not open and close. They do not eat or pee. These are simple, beautifully made dolls that are meant to be cuddled, dressed and undressed, dragged everywhere, slept with and played with by girls and boys alike. The dolls come with a terry cloth diaper that has velcro tabs for closure, an umbilicus band, a hospital wrist band, and a birth certificate. Interestingly, the Asian girl doll also came with a baby bottle but the boy doll did not. Some super small, Preemie size clothing fit well on these dolls. I also found some outfit sets made specifically for these dolls on Ebay that included a romper, T-shirt, another diaper, a diaper cover, a hat and booties at a very reasonable price. These dolls are very realistic looking and I discovered that they are often used by artists that "reborn" them. Reborning is a technique where dolls are carefully painted to have the natural skin colors of a real baby. They often add hand rooted hair, too. There are special paints called Genesis paints that are heat set to be extremely durable. While these dolls do have painted features, they do not have painted nail beds or mottled skin tone or blushing in the creases as the "reborn" babies do so I bought some Genesis paints to paint the nails and the lips a little deeper color and add blushing to the knees and elbows and creases. I'm no artist so I did not attempt all over skin tone, but it came out very well. I watched many of the videos on YouTube that show you exactly how to do it. Understand that these dolls are perfectly adorable just the way they come. I only added more hand painted detail because my granddaughter is almost 7 and has been longing for a reborn doll so I decided to attempt to make the dolls more like the ones she has been wanting. Otherwise, buy this doll and maybe a pack of preemie diapers and a couple of outfits and a receiving blanket and your child will be absolutely thrilled! UPDATE: I gave these dolls to my granddaughter for her birthday and she takes them everywhere! Even at her birthday party, everyone wanted to hold them. They look so real and their backs are curved like a real newborn so they nestle perfectly into the curve of your arm. Real preemie diapers fit perfectly. My granddaughter has bathed these babies several times - an activity she gets a kick out of. I think these are the best dolls I have ever purchased.

Amazing detail!
I do 'mild' reborning with La Newborn dolls so the sculpt is very important to me. This one is amazingly detailed and perfect! There is a bit of gloss on the mouth already, so all I'm going to need to do is add some gloss to the eyelid seams and it's done. Pros: -Fantastic detail in the face sculpt. Even has the little divets in the scalp that newborns have -Mouth takes a snipped/modded pacifier (just trim a wee bit of the bulb off) -Great for posing for props/fotos -Eyebrows are lightly done so not too fake -I paid 35 dollars, so a fantastic value imo. (wouldn't go above 40 personally as it didn't come with a full layette or clothing) Cons: -Size is a wee bit smaller than a preemie so you'll have a time finding off the peg baby clothes for it. -Detail is mostly in the face so don't expect tons of detail in the hands/feet at this pricepoint. -Curled up position, while accurate to a newborn scrunch, could be frustrating for younger doll enthusiasts while changing clothes/diapers. Overall- Fantastic for detail-lovers and reborners. Well worth the money and I'm very very happy with my purchase!

So realistic and adorable!
Review for First Yawn doll: She's small but cute, Hudson Baby preemie clothes are a little big but fit well enough, and she can take a pacifier with about half the nipple cut off. I wrapped scotch tape around the stem a few times to bulk it up so it would stay in her mouth. She also came with a little hospital print blanket and a bottle. Edit for the First Tear doll: Four stars. Very cute, smells a little like baby powder when it says unscented so I'm not happy about that. Fits in preemie clothes on the smaller side.

Grandkids LOVE this doll!
This is a nice quality, realistic boy doll that I bought for my 3 grandsons - ages 4, 6 & 8. I usually get them something new to play with when they visit, and when I came across him and he was so cute, I thought I’d give them something different besides dinosaurs and the usual fare and dolls are good for teaching empathy and encouraging caring for other babies. He is anatomically correct, and they laughed hysterically over that, they had so much fun for hours they bathed, powdered, diapered, dressed and swaddled, held and rocked him, gave him “magic bottles” (from Dollar General), burped him, pretended he was crying and comforted him. They had so much fun that they each wanted their own doll, so I ran out to buy 2 more similar dolls (my little guy cried because he didn't have his own baby to put in the bath!). I had purchased the doll with the intent to keep it at my house for when they visit, but I sent all of them home with them:). This is such a great toy for boys or girls, and would also be a great therapy doll for depression, anxiety, autism, elderly, Alzheimer’s, etc. Great for gifting or keeping!

Adorable doll !
I love this little doll ! His expression is so adorable. He is very small and a child would not be able to get him dressed. I had a hard time with that. He wears 15 inch doll clothes which you can find on Temu for really cheap.He takes a real pacifier if you cut the end off. I’m very happy with my purchase

Absolut realistisch...
Ein so süsser Puppenjunge, sorgfältige Verarbeitung, bekommt natürlich das passende Outfit ! Ich bin begeistert, wer Puppensammler ist, ist hier wirklich gut bedient, die spanische Firma ist wirklich top. Habe schon mehrere davon und alle sind sehr hochwertig, für Kinder würde ich die Variante mit dem Stoffkörper empfehlen, die newborn sind eher was für Sammler. Fazit: Nur zu empfehlen, wer solche Puppen liebt.

Realistic, cute, and great price
My daughter adores this baby she recently got for her birthday. Realistic, light and can have a bath... who couldn’t ask for more in a baby doll. She also bought soothers at the store and cut them to fit into her mouth (newborn size)

Bella bambola di buona qualità in gomma di vinile, non morbidissima. L'espressione del viso è bellissima ,il corpo e gli arti imitano bene le fattezze di una bambina,nonostante sia una bambola industriale è ricca di particolari e molto curata Questa bambola ha fatto impazzire mia nipote, nonostante le dimensioni ridotte è molto realistica.Arriva confezionata in una scatola , con un certificato di adozione e un biberon nel modello a bocca aperta .La bambola è vestita come in foto.Volendo metterle i pannolini occorre acquistare quelli piccolissimi da neonato o meglio quelli da reborn. Sempre nel modello a bocca aperta le si può adattare un ciuccio da neonato tagliandolo a misura in modo che le si incastri nella bocca.

My GORGEOUS BOY
My husband said he would buy me a doll for christmas. I am 50yrs old and was thrilled,, as soon as I saw him it was like being handed another son.I have never seen such a realistic doll. The detail in his face is astounding.My 9 yr old was very jealous. I have 4 sons and 1 daughter, but none were as well behaved!! For my birthday I am getting a girl Lanewborn and cant wait. The face is sooo lifelike it is spooky.I called him Jack because he came in a box. I would recommend him to anyone, even for a child, money permitting.Sturdy yet soft I wish I'd had him sooner.DEFINATELY WORTH THE MONEY.Arrived much sooner than expected and was well packaged.Happy me..
