Safe Wooden Set
This food set is superior it’s all wood and I was impressed by this brands quality. All of the pieces are smooth and painted perfectly they are the color of the food in real life where this becomes a fun toy is that you can practice cutting your fruits and vegetables on the provided chopping board there is also a safe wood knife and peeler. This set was as much fun I played with it with my grandkids for hours. This toy was great for food identification and also for creativity and imagination. Don’t hesitate to purchase very happy. With the holidays coming this would make a great set to have with a kitchen ,restaurant,or store.

Well made wood toy set
This Le Toy Van wooden chopping board and super food set is really nice. The wood is a nice quality, it has a good weight to it and it's finished very well. This wood set toy is not only really cute, it's hours of fun for kids.

You know what you are about to see is quality when each of the pieces is wrapped individually. Just check out the pics. I unwrapped each piece and it was colorful, well crafted, and no piece was damaged or had flaws of any kind. This set is cute, cute, cute! It is a great set for boys and girls - learning, playing, pretending. I cannot recommend this product enough... there is so much a child can learn and pretend, and quite frankly, just have fun with. I've seen other versions in stores that are plastic and significantly lower quality. This is well worth the $40 for a toy that will last and be safe. You can't go wrong!

The cutest play food
This company makes a really impressive set of toys. I really like their craftsmanship in how they make the toys. The food items are made of wood, they are solid and durable. They are painted to look like fruits and veggies and the cutest part about this set is that you can use the little tool to chop the fruits and veggies in half on the cutting board. My daughter sat there for about an hour chopping and prepping for her strawberry and cucumber soup to feed me! Happy with the quality and will buy from them again.

Cute Set
My 5-year old granddaughter was so happy to add this to her collection for her kitchen and I was just as happy because the set is very solid and works very well. She has separated the pieces more times that I could ever count and the velcro has remained strong.

Cute and Well Made, Pieces are Easily Lost
Quality wooden toy fruit and vegetable set. Everything looks and feels very nice, including the finish on each piece. The problem is that there is no way to contain these, the cutting board lacks any type of raised edge to keep the pieces in place, so they roll off with the slightest touch. It's challenging to keep the pieces together as a set because of this, and after a few weeks I simply gave up. This whole kit is now distributed along with many other toys in the play room. For a similar price, there are other sets that come more like a station and have slots to keep each piece organized. Those are well worth it and are much easier to keep together. This one represents a questionable value at the current price. If you have a box to keep it in, you may have better luck.

Beautiful wooden play set - hours of role play fun to be had.
Role play games with cooking and serving food seem to be a perennial favourite for little ones, both boys and girls. I guess it’s something they see in their lives everyday with their mum or dad making meals. For that kind of role play, this is a really great set of toys. My son, when he was little, had hours of fun with his toy food and cooking utensils playing cafés and shops and kitchens. He’d have loved something like this because it’s very interactive. In the set, you get a selection of plastic fruits and vegetables: watermelon, carrot, strawberry, lemon, kiwi, cucumber and a fig. Each item of fruit/veg is divided into two pieces (except the cucumber which is on the) which join together via Velcro tabs. Then there is a wooden knife and chopping board so the child can place a fruit or veg on the chopping board and, using the knife, ‘slice’ it into two pieces. There’s also a wooden peeler, so they can ‘pretend peel’ the food. The food items are brightly coloured and the insides of each are painted to look realistically like the real item - the seeds of the cucumber, the pips of the watermelon, the segments of the lemon, etc. All really nicely done and, of course, you can Velcro them back together to do it all again next time. I think this set is beautifully designed and made, with a lot of effort put into making the fruit and vegetables quite realistic, so there’s a bit of additional educational value there. And, of course, everything being solid wood, it has that bit of extra ‘class’ than if it were all plastic. It’s not cheap but it’ll be really durable and long-lasting. Each item in the set comes lovingly wrapped in protective tissue paper in the box. Having got this as a present fits a little girl I know, I didn’t want to unwrap and spoil the those wrapping for the photos. Little ones will have hours of role play fun with this.

Quality item
So when I saw the price I was shocked. I love wooden toys but these are definitely on the pricey side. Having said that you do get what you pay for. To see each item is individually wrapped starts off strong. The toy itself is just pure quality and very well crafted. The colours are lovely and bright and this will be going strong in years and several grandchildren later. Really happy.

Great toy
Got this to use in our wooden toy play kitchen. It’s a sweet little wooden play set, containing a small chopping board and knife, along with a selection of different vegetables which are held together with magnets and can be ‘cut’ to split the pieces. All the veg pieces, and knife, are made from a good quality smooth wood and store neatly in the tray, which is made from a slightly rougher untreated plywood along with the chopping board. We enjoyed playing with this set, great for role play and food recognition.

Beautifully made wooden toy playset
This toy set its beautifully made from wood and each piece is shaped and coloured to a high standard and realistic looking. The velcro is strong enough to hold the pieces together but easy enough to chop them apart with the provided little knife. This is great if you have a toy kitchen or other food play sets to add to them but also works well as a stand alone item to help with hand/eye coordination, colours, naming and motor skills.

The best wooden toys I've seen.
I love the attention to detail in Le toy van toys. From the way they arrive wrapped in recyclable materials to the detailing on each piece. They are by far and away the best quality wooden toys I've seen. This chopping set is no exception with lovely paint work and detailing and good quality materials from the wood to the velcro fastenings which are not too tough but hold each piece well. Really good product, would recommend.
