This cash register is timeless!
This is the third time I have purchased this item over the last 10 years for 4-year-olds. It is perfect for playing grocery store, and learning how to count money (although I replaced all the funky plastic coins with REAL coins). One 4-year-old wouldn’t let it out of her grasp and wanted to take it to BED with her!!! Since counting money is now taught in first grade, it’s a great head start for this age and can be used (along with the REAL built-in calculator) for at least until age 7-8. It is well built, very sturdy, has a note pad and pretend credit card, and has a wonderful *ding* sound when the register is opened! And the price hasn’t really changed in 10 years! It’s a great and FUN learning tool. The paper money is true sized. The only thing I don’t like are the thick plastic coins. I replaced them with real coins so learning how to “do the math” learning the names of the coins and the value of each one and eventually learning how to add the values together becomes an authentic experience.

Perfect Christmas Gift!
This set was a great Christmas gift. It is good quality. Has working sounds and buttons, came with a nice set of money, paper bills and stamped plastic coins that are very realistic! It is ready to use with no assembly and it is easy for little fingers to play with. We had bought the Little Tykes Restaurant also and were disappointed that it didn’t have a cash register. This cash register was its perfect accessory, it was perfect size, it fit right on the counter!

Fun and educational
My 3 year old and 4 year old absolutely love this toy! They just grab things around the house to “sell” while they take turns being cashier and patron.

Good toy and lots of fun, but the cash drawer is a bit aggressive.
My kids (3 & 5) love this toy and have a great time with it. The younger one mostly likes opening and closing the drawer and hearing the chime while the older one likes the ability to continuously add numbers on it. It's nice and sturdy and does exactly what you'd expect. The only complaint...the mechanism on the drawer is crazy aggressive. Every time they open it up, coins fly out everywhere. It's fine if you hold your hand in front to catch the drawer as it ejects, but the kids clearly don't worry about that. It's all fun for them and they don't mind, but constantly picking up wayward coins from the floor is minorly annoying.

Great product for cash and coin learning
Son used for a project at school where he got to sell his own items and he loved the feeling and how easy this register was to use!! The money was a good quality and the coins were accurate for those that are teaching money, the bills were realistic so much that my son's teacher asked if she could keep them and use for their class. Great price for the product and got here extremely fast just in time for his project. Will be keeping for future use until the kids grow out of it !!

Good Quality
This pretend play calculatior is overall a good quality product. However, one must note that the colour is not the bright red and blue as seen in the picture. Its is infact dull maroon and dull deep blue, which was a put off for my daughter. Also, when the 'open' button is pressed, the drawer opens with a jerk, that some coins simply jump and fall out of the drawer each time.

Fun to use
I love this cash register machine - The sound and the design is really like the old-school cash registers that they have eons ago. I like it that it has the calculator function which makes it educational (Note: the parent/teacher has to design learning experiences to maximise this function). The only downside is that the cash drawer pops out really abruptly and forcefully, often throwing out the coins with it. The children have learned how to mitigate the situation by putting their hands over the drawer before hitting the "open" button. The "cash" is in American Dollars. So you will probably have to improvise if you would like to use the currency of your country.

Calculatrice intégrée
Excellente petite caisse qui permet d'apprendre à compter, ce qui est un gros plus pour nous. L'argent est en dollars américains donc prévoir de devoir en acheter en surplus. Elle est plus grosse que je ne l'imaginais donc peut être plus difficile à ranger ou à installer dans une "épicerie" en jouet. Somme toute nous sommes satisfaits, elle fait ce pourquoi on l'a acheté. Le tiroir ouvre bien, mais rapidement et les pièces d'argent revolent parfois.

Perfect for the "pretend" shop
Bought this for my granddaughter's bakery shop. She is so proud to swap her "baked goods" for money and ring the purchase up on the register. Love how the bell rings as the drawer is opened. Number buttons are large enough for chubby toddler fingers to use easily, and the working calculator is a learning tool for older children. Only downside was I had to hunt out toy money which was relevant to us as the supplied cash was in US currency.
